Olly Murs would have ‘chinned’ Dermot O’Leary if the former X Factor presenter had made Olly’s gaffe

Olly Murs is still getting flack two weeks after accidentally calling Monica Michael’s name too early during an elimination on The X Factor and now the former contestant-turned-presenter has admitted that if the cock-up had happened when he was an X Factor hopeful he would have ‘chinned’ Dermot O’Leary.

Dermot was the host of the show in 2009 when Olly finished runner-up to Joe McElderry, and the Troublemaker singer has now admitted how ‘moritifed’ he was by the whole incident.

Apple enlists the help of Stevie Wonder for a seriously festive Christmas advert

Had enough of festive ads yet? Let’s hope not, because here’s yet another one – and this time it comes courtesy of Apple.

Except not content with showing off their wares, the tech giants have enlisted the help of singing legend Stevie Wonder to mark the Christmas season.

The resulting clip sees Stevie – together with up-and-coming singer Andra Day – performing his 1967 classic Someday At Christmas – whose lyrics have an oddly timely message about peace and freedom.

All of which is played out against a backdrop of festive shenanigans, with the singers’ children showing up to join in the fun (not to mention join in the song).

Lauren Murray was on the receiving end of some nasty Twitter backlash following last weekend’s X Factor.

As results were called on the show, Lauren eagerly awaited the fate of her pal Che Chesterman. As 4th Impact came over to hug her, she seemily pushed them out of the way. It sparked rumours of a rift and ructions amongst the contestants. In reality, she’d just moved aside to hear what was happening to Che.

Since the incident, Lauren has revealed she’s been getting some ‘disgusting’ death threats on Twitter.

Susannah Constantine is the first celeb to have been sent packing from the jungle.

It came down to her and Chris Eubank as the jungle dwellers at risk, but the stylist lost out to the boxer after receiving the lowest votes stay.

Lady C whispered ‘lucky girl’ in her ear as she left camp for the final time.

‘I’m so excited to be going,’ Susannah told Ant and Dec. ‘It’s been a bitter sweet time, it’s been amazing on so many levels. It’s been so much harder than I expected. The hunger. You get time to relax but you always feel like you have a responsibilty. I’m so glad I did it though.’

Chris Eubank just told a whopper of a porkie that got Ferne McCann in massive trouble with Brian Friedman.

Kieron took part in a task to try and save his yellow team, consisting of him, Chris and Ferne, from the Danger Zone and won, meaning the yellows got to choose who got banished next.

Presenter Dec then rang the camp to get Kieron’s teammates Ferne and Chris to choose who they wanted to send out of camp. After some deliberation, Chris said the ‘purple team’, Ferne repeated his choice, and then they confirmed with Dec what they’d decided.

Simon Cowell has taken drastic measures to protect Caroline Flack and Olly Murs from themselves – by banning them from using their phones.

The X Factor presenters have received a lot of online criticism since the live shows kicked off, thanks to a string of gaffes. And an insider says Cowell doesn’t want that to hamper their performance this weekend.

Having a snog – or pretending to – on the show didn’t seem to improve their approval rating.

Benedict Cumberbatch and Johnny Depp made weird TV history tonight by attacking a giant teddy bear together.

This came after Cumberbatch was asked to recreate cute pictures of otters on the Graham Norton Show – which he managed to do surprisingly well.

But the huge bear that was provided as a prop for one of the pics ended up being jumped on, punched and indecently assaulted by the two movie stars.

The word ‘purple’ and the name ‘Duncan’ aren’t exactly easy to mix up, but that’s exactly what happened on Friday night’s I’m A Celeb.

Poor Ferne McCann was in tears after Chris Eubank accused her of mishearing him during a challenge and viewers quickly took to Twitter to brand the boxer a ‘liar’.

However Chris’ wife Claire says he must have been confused and will be mortified when he realises his mistake.

‘He did say purple!’ she told the Daily Mirror.

It seems Ola Jordan is as unpopular with BBC bosses as her husband James after publicly criticising Strictly Come Dancing.

The 33-year-old, who is the longest-serving female dancer on the show, is apparently persona non grata nowadays and will not be returning for this weekend’s group routines.

Ola confirmed she’d quit Strictly after ten years earlier this month and went on to imply that the contest was fixed, claiming that contestants were deliberately ‘over-marked and under-marked’ by the judges.
