When you’re sitting on the sofa watching Strictly Come Dancing on Saturday evening, remember this: Gleb Savchenko likes to train his dance partner Anita Rani like ‘a Russian bear’.

Countryfile presenter Anita revealed the odd training technique when she joined Alan Carr on his sofa for Channel 4 chat show Chatty Man along with her fellow contestants.

‘Are you a bit like dressage horses?’ Alan asked the fivesome, which included Jay McGuiness and Kellie Bright. ‘Do they hit you with sticks?’

Rapper Vanilla Ice and controversial US personality Nadya Suleman – aka Octomom – have joined the ever-increasing list of rumoured housemates for Celebrity Big Brother 2016.

According to The Sun the pair are being tipped to make up the house’s ever-popular American contingent with the series returns to screens early next year.

Mum-of-14 Nadya became a household name in the US after giving birth to octuplets – only the second set ever to be born alive in the US – in 2009.

However public opinion quickly turned against the 40-year-old… Read the full story

Will Top Of The Pops be returning to screens? (Picture: BBC)

Here’s some exciting news for music fans – it looks as though the BBC might finally be bringing Top Of The Pops back to screens.

Well sort of, anyway. According to reports the corporation is currently in talks to revive the show, which hasn’t been a regular fixture on screens (Christmas specials aside) for the past decade.

But here’s the thing – it probably won’t be called Top Of The Pops at all, in spite of taking the same format of being a weekly music show based on the UK’s top 40.

Kellie Bright has hit back at suggestions that the current series of Strictly Come Dancing is one of the ‘bitchiest yet’.

The EastEnders actress is one of five women remaining in the BBC One show as it heads towards the quarter-finals – with Helen George, Anita Rani, Georgia May Foote and Katie Derham also still in the running for the Glitterball trophy.

But writing in a column in the Radio Times, she dismissed any suggestions of diva-like behaviour among the ladies – pointing out that in fact it’s… Read the full story

He might be left without a single act in the competition – but that doesn’t mean Simon Cowell isn’t making himself useful on the X Factor panel.

In fact the mogul has taken on a whole new role, as he revealed on Saturday night’s show – ranking all the remaining acts.

Or, as he explained, waiting until each of the five have performed both their songs and then making it very clear what he thinks of their efforts.

‘Even though I haven’t got any acts left, I’m now the only impartial judge… Read the full story

Given how far we are in to The X Factor 2015, you’d have thought the judges would know the names of the acts by now.

But clearly Simon Cowell’s memory failed him on Saturday night’s show following 4th Impact’s first performance of the night.

The mogul – who announced earlier he is ‘ranking’ the remaining acts to make up for having none of his own left – was quick to give the girls a rave review following their performance of the Jackson 5’s I’ll Be There.

Except it didn’t quite go according to plan as he told band members Almira and Mylene Cercado: ‘Vocally that was – and B ‘ – only to be… Read the full story

Trapped in a personal torture chamber created by his own confession dial to extract the truth about the Hybrid, the Doctor is pursued by the deathly Veil with only an aged portrait of Clara and the vision of her he retains in his mind for company.

Unwilling to give up the secret, he realises that the only way he can survive is to relive his personal hell on a loop for four-and-a-half billion years until he finally breaks through – to Gallifrey.

I’ll say this up front and unequivocally: I loved it.

He might have attracted attention for the wrong reasons this week following that appearance on It Takes Two.

But Saturday night’s Strictly Come Dancing saw Jay McGuiness getting back down to business as he performed a sizzling tango with partner Aliona Vilani.

In fact the pair made such an impact on the dancefloor that Darcey Bussell appeared to be rendered temporarily speechless by the whole thing.

‘Oh my,’ she said before becoming seemingly lost for words.

‘You were working as one, how you were hearing that music, how you were using it, it was superb.’

Meanwhile Len Goodman was similarly impressed, calling it ‘a mango of a tango (we’re not quite sure what he means by that but we’re guessing it’s good).

Strictly Come Dancing viewers were left bemused on Saturday night after claiming to have spotted a rather embarrassing blunder courtesy of from Anton du Beke.

The moment in question occurred after Peter Andre had performed his American Smooth with Janette Manrara, as he went all out to try and avoid the dance-off this week.

The studio audience loved it. The judges were fairly complimentary also.

But what really had the folks at home staring was the moment when, after the performance, Anton appeared to be caught on camera mouthing ‘awful’… Read the full story

Here’s the moment on The X Factor when Reggie n Bollie were joined on stage by a couple of very special backing dancers – Reggie’s sons.

Saturday night saw the duo – one of five acts remaining in the competition – performing Silento’s Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae) in the first half, and Taio Cruz’s Dynamite in the second.

And it was during the first performance that seven-year-old Ikhon and Nolan, five, took to the stage to perform with the pair.

But it wasn’t just the pint-sized pair that got up on stage, as Cheryl Fernandez-Versini couldn’t resist showing off her moves alongside Reggie n Bollie either.

The I’m A Celebrity rows just keep on coming – and yet again it was Lady C who was at the centre of the camp’s latest bust-up.

This time around the object of her venom was Tony Hadley – who fell foul of the socialite after getting rid of a beetle by putting it on the fire.

The Spandau Ballet singer was unimpressed by her actions, calling them ‘really cruel’

He added: ‘Don’t throw creatures on the fire, that’s not right, what’s the matter with you? Just put it in the jungle next time.’

However Lady C was quick to defend herself, insisting: ‘There was a piece of vermin, I did what any sensible person would do.’

Che Chesterman was left wishing he could quickly say goodbye after fluffing the words to Adele’s hit song Hello during a live performance on The X Factor.

The 19-year-old, who was in the bottom two last week, stumbled through a rendition of the record-breaking track last night.

The song was chosen for him by TV viewers after a vote on Twitter but Che was forced to improvise after forgetting the lyrics to the first verse.

A sympathetic Cheryl Fernandez-Versini said afterwards: ‘We all make mistakes. It happens to the best of us. We’ve seen Beyonce fall down a flight of stairs and Madonna with her cape, but the crucial thing is that you got… Read the full story
