TOP GEAR ALERT: There are only five months and nine days to go until Top Gear is returning.

Or possibly five months and six days to go.

It all depends on which date host of the car show Chris Evans actually meant when he told James Martin on Saturday Kitchen that the show was on air ‘Sunday 5 May’ 2016 – but there is no Sunday 5 May in 2016.

A BBC insider told Metro.co.uk that the 5 May is a recording day and that the channel are working towards the show airing in May.

However because May is over six months away, a lifetime in TV, there is currently… Read the full story

Dapper Laughs has reportedly signed up to the Celebrity Big Brother house.

The comedian, whose real name is Daniel O’Reilly, found his career in tatters after he joked about rape last year and is hoping that appearing on the reality TV series will show viewers another side of him.

A source told The Daily Star: ‘Dapper is still one of the most controversial performers in the UK and will get viewers watching.

‘No doubt he is keen to try and show that his off-stage persona is sensitive and caring.’

Shane Lynch left social media in tears ‘over their porridge’ on Sunday morning after revealing that the night before band mate Stephen Gately’s funeral, the four remaining members of Boyzone stayed overnight in the church so Stephen wasn’t by himself.

Stephen never liked the dark and his mother worried about his body being by itself in the church so Shane, Ronan Keating, Keith Duffy, and Mikey Graham decided to camp out next to the coffin.

‘We got our sleeping bags, the priest came in with some wine for us and at about 12 o’clock at night we were starving hungry,’ said Shane during his interview with Fern Britton.

‘It’s so stupid and quite offensive hearing rumours like that,’ Georgia told The Mirror, adding: ‘Giovanni and I are just good mates – it’s lovely.’

Wallace is said to have suffered the injury while out walking her dog, and her leg is now in a cast following surgery.

She is set to be at the centre of some massive storylines along with co-star Shane Richie, but reports say there is a danger of her ‘missing’ scenes.

Jessie, who plays Kat Moon on the BBC1 soap, is apparently being filmed from the waist up, with a body double waiting in the wings in case a full body shot is needed.

Peter Andre was the bookies favourite from the beginning but sadly the former pop star has failed to make it to the Strictly Come Dancing final.

In fact, he’s even failed to make it to the semi-final.

Yep, the so-called King Of Reality TV was voted off the show by the judges this week after coming bottom of the leaderboard during Saturday night’s show.

Peter and his dance partner Janette Manrara found themselves in the bottom two for the second time alongside Kellie Bright and her partner Kevin Clifton, but giving what judge Bruno Tonioli called a ‘very powerful and very entertaining performance’, Peter and Janette were sent home.

Caroline Flack and Olly Murs have certainly come in for their fair share of criticism since taking over the hosting duties of X Factor – not least of all after Olly dropped the ball and accidentally revealed the departure of Monica Michael too early.

Live TV is a difficult thing – and Flack is happy to admit that they don’t measure up to their predecessor Dermot O’Leary’s standards.

Olly Murs could be about to feel the wrath of Rita Ora fans as he was forced to interrupt the singer during an interview.

Ora had just performed on the show with Sigma and was excitedly chatting to the presenter about the experience. But, with the demanding schedule of a live show, a voice in Olly’s ear was clearly telling him to cut things short – although he could have made it less obvious.

Rita had just uttered the word ‘but’ – a famous connecting word that implies more content is to come – when he ended the conversation abruptly.

4th Impact have become the latest act to leave the X Factor – and their fans have been left gutted by the announcement, hitting out at Che Chesterman who blazed through to the semi-final despite messing up his words.

4th Impact and Lauren Murray both received the fewest votes and things got tense when the judges sent the decision to deadlock.

It transpired that the group, who had been mentored by Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, received the least votes from the public – but many on Twitter were passionately disagreeing with the outcome, feeling that others were more deserving of the boot.

The incident allegedly saw carried off stage by paramedics just moments after the main show ended and the group lost their place in the competition. Cheryl Fernandez-Versini rushed to the singer’s aid and, as the Xtra Factor started, she was clearly shaken as she confirmed to Rochelle Humes that Celina was being seen by paramedics.

It isn’t the first time that concerns have been raised as Celina was previously seen struggling to stay on her feet during an earlier show.

A representative for the X Factor told Metro.co.uk: ‘Celina was taken unwell after the show came off air. An ambulance was called… Read the full story

Lord Alan Sugar has taken to Twitter to blast Strictly Come Dancing and The X Factor, naturally.

The host of BBC One show The Apprentice called the talent competitions a ‘farce’ and then questioned the panel of ‘experts’ on ITV show The X Factor.

‘Isn’t it a farce Strictly and X- Factor have expert judges on a panel. But the public vote people out. Simply because they don’t like them,’ the businessman wrote on Twitter on Sunday night midway through Strictly’s exit show.

He later responded to a fan’s tweet which read, ‘experts ha ha ha’, with: ‘Well the panel are experts on Strictly ……say no more about X-Factor’.
