Are You Being Served? star Nicholas Smith dies aged 81

Beloved actor Nicholas Smith has died, aged 81.

Smith, famous for playing Mr Rumbold in the BBC sitcom Are You Being Served?, was in hospital for several weeks before passing away on Sunday evening.

‘It is with great sadness we can confirm that our client, the actor Nicholas Smith, passed away yesterday,’ The actor’s agents at Michelle Braidman Associates said in a statement.

‘He was a lovely man and a terrific actor. He will be much missed by all who knew him. Our thoughts are with his family.’

Smith had been admitted to hospital after suffering a fall at home, and was the last surviving cast member of Are You Being Served?

Not one but TWO new trailers for the Doctor Who Christmas special have arrived – and it looks like things are hotting up between the Time Lord and River Song.

It’s the first time that Doctor has come face-to-face with River Song (Alex Kingston) since Peter Capaldi took over from Matt Smith and things promise to be explosive between the pair.

‘Stop holding my hand,’ the twelfth Doctor is heard pleading with her as they’re on the run. ‘People don’t do that to me.’

Sherlock co-creator says a team-up with Doctor Who will NEVER happen!

Writer and actor Mark Gatiss, part of the team that produce the worldwide smash Sherlock, has spoken about the possibility of a crossover with another show he’s involved in, Doctor Who.

Basically, he’s not keen.

Gatiss, who produces Sherlock with Doctor Who boss Steven Moffat, and Sue Vertue, has written a number of stories for both franchises and has starred in both.

But it looks like a ‘Sherlock Who?’, or ‘WhoLock’ as fans call it, is off the table.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Gatiss said it would only ever happen ‘over my dead body’, adding:

I’m A Celebrity receives 1,000 complaints after Ferne McCann eats a LIVE spider during final

I’m A Celebrity’s challenges are known for being extreme.

But one which saw contestant Ferne McCann eating a live spider could land the show in hot water.

Disgusted fans have flocked to complain about the incident, which took place during the last Bushtucker Trial.

Ferne was seen swirling the spider around in a glass seemingly trying to subdue it by making it dizzy before wolfing it down as quickly as she could without throwing up.
