What’s better than one Paul Rudd? Two Paul Rudds! And today Netflix has gifted fans a first look at the man himself in his upcoming new series, Living With Yourself.

The comedy is due to drop on the streamer on October 18 and this is definitely one to watch.

In his first leading role(s) in a television series, Paul Rudd plays Miles, a man who is struggling in life.

When he undergoes a novel spa treatment that promises to make him a better person, he finds he’s been replaced by a new and improved version of himself.

The synopsis reads: ‘The Netflix original series Living With Yourself is an inventive existential comedy that asks: do we really want to be better?

‘Miles (Paul Rudd) is a man struggling in life. When he undergoes a novel spa treatment that promises to make him a better person, he finds he’s been replaced by a new and improved version of himself.

‘As he deals with the unintended consequences of his actions, Miles finds he must fight for his wife (Aisling Bea), his career, and his very identity.

‘Told from multiple perspectives, the eight-episode series was created and written by Emmy Award winner Timothy Greenberg (The Daily Show with Jon Stewart), directed by Jonathan Dayton and Valerie Faris (The Battle of the Sexes, Little Miss Sunshine) and stars Paul Rudd and…Paul Rudd.’

The trailer is yet to be released but we’re getting some serious Dead to Me/The Good Place vibes from the photos.

Irish comedian Aisling Bea is currently slaying it in her own Channel 4 series This Way Up, so we’re excited to see her in this role.

No other cast members have been confirmed but more are expected to be revealed ahead of the release.

Living With Yourself will launch on Netflix on October 18.

The clip was shown in the third episode of Channel 4’s documentary series about the late reality TV star.

As Jade and Jack take the floor for their first dance, Mark can be seen stood at the side in tears while Lauren has her arm around him. Other guests also wipe tears from their eyes.

Meawhile the happy couple dance closely together, kissing and smiling as they enjoy their special day.

Members of Mark’s family, including his mum Carol, were also in attendance.

The former Big Brother star died of cervical cancer shortly after the wedding, aged 27.

Mark, who was Jack’s best man, and Lauren would go on to find fame on The Only Way Is Essex a year later.

After their public on-off relationship played out in front of and behind the camera, they broke up for good in 2011.

Mark quit Towie and launched a presenting career, marrying actress Michelle Keegan in 2015.

Jack recently spoke about the first time he met his future wife, admitting that he told her he was older than he actually was at the time.

‘We met in a nightclub just round the corner in Essex,’ he said, ‘then we didn’t speak for a while and then we met in the same nightclub again.

‘I put on an extra five years to my age, yeah.’

Appearing on Good Morning Britain, he added that he was too young to watch Jade – who was six years older than Jack – when she appeared on Big Brother in 2002.

He also confessed that he has struggled to move on from their relationship as ‘no one really compares to Jade’.

The Channel 4 documentary Jade is available to watch on All 4.

MTV is making a show about ghosting for those of us who can’t get a text back

MTV is making a new show about ghosting for those of us who can’t get a text back and it looks very intense.

In the age of the internet, romantic and friendly relationships mean constantly connecting with your loved ones: whether you’re seeing them in your social feeds, privately messaging or talking on a group chat, it’s hard to get away from people completely.

Across eight episodes, Ghosted: Love Gone Missing will explore the phenomenon of ‘ghosting’.

For those of you lucky enough to have never experienced it, this is the modern dating term used when someone close to you randomly stops replying to texts, picking up calls and generally goes off the grid with no explanation in the hope of giving the other person the message that they don’t want to talk anymore.

Ghosting happens to the best of us and this documentary series will follow people who have been ghosted by former partners, friends or family members.

Presented by The Bachelorette’s Rachel Lindsay and rapper Travis Mills, Ghosted aims to reunite the ghoster and the ghostee, giving both parties the chance to say everything they wanted to say to each other and unveiling the harsh truths about what went wrong in these relationships.

MTV's Ghosted: Love Gone Missing
Our presenters and ghost-busters (Picture: MTV)

And from the trailer alone, this show looks to be extremely explosive. If you’re the kind of person who felt that there wasn’t enough fighting in this year’s Love Island, then this is the programme for you.

Think lots of shouting, lots of crying – it’s all pretty tense.

‘We’re travelling the country looking for love gone missing,’ Rachel says in the tense trailer.

‘We’ll investigate the clues and follow every lead to track down the ghost.’

We can’t wait.

Dancing with the Stars’ Karamo Brown thinks Sean Spicer is a ‘good guy’

Dancing with the Stars is currently dealing with severe backlash since it was announced yesterday that former White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer is one of the celebrity contestants.

Fellow contestant, Karamo Brown has since been criticised for publicly defending Spicer, calling him a ‘good guy’.

The Queer Eye presenter commented on the line up in an interview with Access who asked who his most skilled competitor will be.

Bringing up the former member of the Trump Administration, the Culture Expert said: ‘Let me tell you something. Sean Spicer and I have been talking.

‘I was most excited to meet him,’ he said.

‘The thing is that people would look at us and think that we’re polar opposites but I’m a big believer that if you can talk to someone and meet in the middle, you can learn about each other and help each other both grow.’

Brown added: ‘And so we have been chatting all day today. He’s a good guy. Really sweet guy.’

He later responded to fan backlash to his comments about Spicer on Twitter, saying: ‘First, I have no say who is on the cast and didn’t find out till this morning that he is on!

‘But I’ll tell you this… I’m excited to sit down w/ him and engage in a respectful conversations. Only way things get better is if we try to educate those who have different POV than us.’

Fans were so upset by Spicer’s involvement yesterday, they started a #BoycottDWTS hashtag on social media.

DWTS host Tom Bergeron even made what appeared to be a dig at show bosses for including Spicer in a lengthy statement.

He wrote on Twitter: ‘A few months ago, during a lunch with DWTS’ new Executive Producer, I offered suggestions for season 28. Chief among them was my hope that DWTS, in its return following an unprecedented year-long hiatus, would be a joyful respite from our exhausting political climate and free of inevitably divisive bookings from ANY party affiliations.’

Spicer made headlines after Donald Trump’s inauguration when he insisted that the crowd present had been the largest ever, despite photos showing otherwise.

Dancing with the Stars 2019 airs on ABC on September 16.

Game of Thrones writers gave Daenerys evil nickname in script

Daenerys Targaryen
The Mother of Dragons spent her entire life escaping from abuse (Picture: Game of Thrones/HBO)

Game of Thrones writers referred to Daenerys as ‘her satanic majesty’ proving how evil the mother of dragons was supposed to be.

The recently-revealed script gave chills to those who had the opportunity to read the descriptions of Dany’s ruthless conquest of The Seven Kingdoms.

A section of the Emmy-nominated script read: ‘Jon climbs the stairway. When he nears the top he sees Dany, already dismounted, walking towards him.

‘For a moment, Drogon’s unfolding wings spread behind her back, an unsettling image. Her Satanic Majesty’s Request.’

Game of Thrones season eight had Daenerys supporters wonder how their queen rapidly transformed from their saviour into a malicious dictator.

Fans dedicated their time to watching the ‘rightful heir to the Iron throne’ – played by Emilia Clarke – rise from being a survivor of abuse and hardships to a fierce warrior who used her power to free cities from their chains.

Throughout the last few episodes, it became evident that the mother of dragons would stop at nothing to get what she feels is rightfully hers, even if it meant the people of King’s Landing had to die for it.

Mother of Dragons
Forget dragons, mammoths are all the rage in Bloodmoon (Picture: HBO)

David Benioff and D B Weiss took their time in exposing her villainy in the detailed final script.

When addressing her Dothraki warriors, the script read: ‘Amidst the ashes of her conquest and the corpses of her enemies, Dany accepts the worship of her followers.

‘The devastated city stretches out below her, but she shows no signs of ambivalence or doubt. She has burned the village to save it.’

Her behaviour, which was bordering near insanity, proved she genuinely believed she was saving the entire seven kingdoms from the wrath that was Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey) and her goons.

By the end, she became the evil that she fought so hard to destroy.

The script compared the Queen to the consistently evil villain Cersei who died in the hands of her brother/lover Jamie.

Although her loyal followers and friends began turning against her one by one her death still came as a huge shock to the show’s fans, considering the way she died.

After all, Daenerys has been through, dying by the hands of Jon Snow (Kit Harington) came as an unsatisfying ending for the delusional queen to many viewers at home.

Netflix releases 12-hour video of Stranger Things’ Alexei drinking Slurpee because the internet

Netflix has made a video of Alexei from Stranger Things drinking a Slurpee for 12 hours and it’s the best thing we’ve seen all day.

Bursting onto our screens when the third instalment of the supernatural drama hit the streaming platform in July, Russian scientist Alexei quickly won over the hearts of audiences across the world and became Indiana’s best-loved resident.

Tasked with opening the portal between Hawkins and the Upside Down, Alexei finds himself kidnapped by Hopper in order to get him to reveal what his secret mission.

However, the Russian refuses to give away his secrets until he’s born bought a Cherry Slurpee from 7/11, providing us with the world’s best reaction GIF.

It was this image that Netflix decided to make into a 12-hour long video and while we’re definitely confused, we also don’t hate it.

Maybe it’s the ultimate procrastination tool for those moments when you’ve refreshed social media endlessly and opened the fridge in hope of new food magically appearing.

Maybe it’s a soothing, ASMR-style video to lull you to sleep. Honestly, at this point, who can really say?

Alec Utgoff, the British-Ukrainian actor who portrayed Alexei already admitted to being ‘overwhelmed’ by the fan reaction to his character; what will his response be when he finds out that people can spend half a day watching him suck on a straw in a mildly suggestive manner?

Something tells us he’ll probably take it pretty well.

‘What was really touching is that people sent me messages about how they resonated emotionally with the character,’ Alec told a Reddit AMA.

‘That was important to me because that’s what I try to do.’

I mean… we like slushies? How’s that for an emotional connection?

Stranger Things season 3 is currently streaming on Netflix.

Mark Gatiss and Peter Capaldi are reuniting and no, it’s not for Doctor Who

Our favourite TV duo Peter Capaldi and Mark Gatiss will reunite for a new BBC Four Ghost Drama.

Two years after hanging up his Doctor Who boots on Christmas day, Peter is set to team up with the sci-fi show’s writer for Martin’s Close, a horror-drama based on M R James’ story of the same name.

Directing the 30-minute show, Mark said: ‘After the delightful success of last year’s The Dead Room, it’s a fantastic privilege to continue the tradition of the Christmas Ghost story on BBC Four – and what better than one of my favourite stories by the master of them all, M.R. James?’

The story will follow a 17th-century murder trial that comes with a spooky twist that will send chills down everyone’s spines.

John Martin is on trial for his life in front of the infamous ‘hanging judge’ George Jeffreys, but the girl he had been accused of murdering was seen alive.

Peter is set to play barrister Dolben, whereas Game of Thrones’ Wilf Scolding will be playing the prosecuted John Martin.

Peter Capaldi

Cassian Harrison, the channel editor of BBC Four, said: ‘I’m delighted to welcome another of Mark Gatiss’ ghostly escapades to BBC Four after the success of last year’s The Dead Room.

BBC promises: ‘With a stellar cast and a plot to send a shiver down the most resolute of spines, this is a guaranteed treat for the winter nights.’

The Archers’ actor Simon Williams will be playing Stanton and Four Weddings and a Funeral’s Sara Crowe has hopped on to play Sarah, the ‘murdered’ girl.

Last year, Mark’s The Dead Room for BBC Four was a hit, and we’re not surprised he’s returning for more.

If this mini-drama is done in true Mark Gatiss fashion, we expect to see him in a quick cameo in the programme.

Get your hot chocolates ready, Martin’s Close will air on BBC Four this Christmas.

Stephen Fry looks healthy as he opens up about five-stone weight loss after cancer battle: ‘I’m proud of myself’

Stephen Fry has opened up about losing five-and-a-half stone in weight since April, after he was diagnosed with prostate cancer.

Following his health battles, the 61-year-old appeared on BBC Breakfast, showing off his trimmer figure.

During his stint, the TV presenter credited his new look to ‘walking a lot,’ as well as healthy eating during his illness.

And he told hosts Naga Munchetty and Charlie Stayt he was ‘proud’ of himself for the way he fought back.

‘At the moment I’m happy, there is the vertical moment and the horizontal and at the moment I’m very happy, I’m happily married,’ he said.

‘I’ve lost a bit of weight so I’m feeling proud of myself.’

‘I was overweight, I have lost five and a half stone. I was 21 stone nearly, in April I was that heavy.’

When asked how he managed to lose the weight, Stephen explained: ‘I walk a lot and that helps my mood as well I find.

‘It’s not a guaranteed help for mental stress and anxiety or anything else but it does help me and it means I can listen to audio books as I walk, and podcasts, and you eat up the miles that way.

‘And talking of eating up, eating sensibly.’

The comedian was all smiles as he left the studio, following his appearance, rocking a colourful checked shirt and black jeans for the day, finishing the look off with a blue blazer.

Stephen was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2017, confirming the news in a candid Twitter video last year.

‘For the last 2 months I’ve been in the throes of a rather unwelcome and unexpected adventure. I’m sorry I haven’t felt able to talk about it till now, but here I am explaining what has been going on,’ he said at the time.

The actor then explained his doctor discovered his PSA [prostate-specific antigen] levels were high, during a routine flu jab. He underwent the operation in the first week of January, where the ‘aggressive’ cancer was removed.

He continued: ‘Cancer is a word that rings in your head. “I’ve got cancer” I kept saying to myself, good heavens. You’re not supposed to get cancer. I know it’s a cliché but you don’t think it’s going to happen to you, cancer is something that happens to other people,’ he told the camera.

‘So far as we know, it’s all been got. Are there greater chances of me getting other cancers now? Apparently not. But I won’t know for sure until I get my PSA levels checked. They should be zero because I have no prostate, so the prostate specific antigen should be zero.

‘But if there’s anything left on the bed of the prostate where they’ve taken it out, it may have spread and I’ll have to get radiotherapy and the whole damn thing will start again.

‘But for the moment I’m fit and well and happy.’

Game of Thrones’ Night King actor reveals crucial season 8 BTS stunt practice

Never forget (Picture: HBO)

**Spoilers for Game of Thrones season 8, obviously**

Most fans know by now that the man who played the Night King in Game of Thrones, Valdimir Furdik, is also an accomplished stunt man who was instrumental in creating many of the series’ most iconic moments.

Game of Thrones season eight has its issues, but episode three, The Battle of Winterfell featured one of the most memorable battle sequences of all time and surprise twist from Arya Stark (Maisie Williams).

Arya managed to defeat the Night King herself by ambushing him and stabbing him with a trick knife manoeuvre, thus ending his and the Army of the Dead’s reign of terror.

Now Furdik has shared a clip of rehearsals to his Twitter with the caption: ‘Preparation footage vs episode.

‘Thank you stunt team for great professionalism and hard work. #GameOfThrones (split screen by @ThePixelFactor).’

The footage shows Furdik and the stunt crew practising the scene in their regular clothes beside the actual episode.

Some special effects have been added but the hard one that went into creating the moment is evident.

Furdik previously hared a behind-the-scenes look at co-star Kit Harington preparing for battle.

He was also one of the main subjects in documentary The Last Watch, where his passion for his job made for an emotional watch.

The documentary director Jeanie Finlay told Metro.co.uk at the time: ‘It’s not that it doesn’t hurt them, they just know how to take the pain – that’s amazing. I don’t meet stuntmen in my everyday life.’

Game of Thrones season 8 is available to watch on NOW TV.

Amy’s got the glam, but does she have the moves for Strictly? (Picture: Andy Barnes/BACKGRID)

She was desperate to learn to dance with Curtis Pritchard on Love Island and now Amy Hart is eyeing up a place on Strictly Come Dancing 2020.

The former air hostess won over Love Island audiences after deciding to leave the villa on her own terms this summer and now hopes that she can shimmy her way into the hearts of the Strictly judges also.

‘I would love to do Strictly, but I don’t know if I would be able to as they are quite fussy with who they have,’ she admitted to the Daily Star.

‘But if the opportunity came up, I’d love to do it. That is what I want to do next year.’

Traditionally Strictly bosses have avoided signing up reality TV stars, but have previously broken their rules for TOWIE’s Mark Wright, while Made in Chelsea’s Jamie Laing will appear on the upcoming series, meaning that Amy could be in luck.

The former flight attendant then took a cheeky dig at her former half-boyfriend Curtis, whose brother AJ is a professional dancer on the BBC Saturday night show.

Love Island's Maura and Curtis
Curtis was willing to teach Maura to dance, but not Amy (Picture: ITV)

‘Curtis wouldn’t teach me to dance, so maybe someone else could,’ she joked.

We’d love to see this happen!

Amy left the Love Island villa following a split from Curtis after he admitted to having been attracted to someone else when spending time apart at Casa Amor.

The 27-year-old was also frustrated after watching her former partner flirtily dance with Irish model Maura Higgins, as Curtis had previously refused to dance with her. Ouch.

However, Curtis and Maura have gone from strength to strength since reaching the Love Island final and had a pretty adorable reunion in Maura’s hometown last week.

Curtis, 23, shared a cute clip to his Instagram Story as he cuddled Maura and kissed her, telling fans: ‘Finally back with this one. Missed her. It’s good to see her.’

Never one to keep her feelings, ahem, private, Maura went for the option that gave her ‘f**** flutters* and later posted a video to Instagram of her man cooking in his pants, accompanied by some sexy music, a love heart filter and a drooling face emoji.

Oh Maura, we hope you never change.

Sex Education meets The Haunting of Hill House for new BBC horror series about teenagers and a haunted app

Horror is coming to the BBC from the minds of The Clarkson Twins – Michael and Paul who worked on Netflix’s terrifying series The Haunting of Hill House last year.

Red Rose is about a group of teenagers who get involved with a supernatural app and Sex Education production company Eleven are also on board.

According to BBC: ‘The story follows a disparate group of teenagers, adrift in the long hot summer following GCSEs, hanging out on the Bolton moors with little sense of direction or purpose now that school is over.

‘Rumours circulate of the Red Rose app, an urban legend that blooms on the smartphones of teenagers, encouraging them to undertake a series of challenges increasingly dangerous in its demands.

‘On the fringes of her group of friends, Rochelle Jackson downloads the mysterious app, naively inviting darkness into her life.

‘What she sets in motion is a series of events that take the town by storm, and bring the friends together to battle the unseen forces of a seemingly supernatural entity.’

Ok, yep, you have our attention.

No casting details have been announced, but we’re excited to hear what young talent will make the cut.

The Clarkson Twins have said they are ‘thrilled’ their script is has been commissioned.

‘We’ve been working in LA for a while now, so the opportunity to return to the UK for our own show is incredible,’ they said.

‘Red Rose is a love letter to our hometown and childhood. We get to explore what challenges face the bright but opportunity starved teenagers of today.

‘Working on the Haunting of Hill House has prepared us well to undertake this genre-driven challenge. We can’t think of a better home for it than the BBC. It’s gonna be well good!’

Piers Wenger, Controller of BBC Drama, said: ‘In Red Rose, the rude, crude and utterly outspoken nature of Michael and Paul’s characters collides brilliantly with the chills and thrills of a very contemporary horror story.

‘The result is a seductive mash-up with a point of view and tone all of its own. We are delighted to be working with the Clarksons on their series which marks their return to British TV.’

Red Rose is currently in production for BBC Three.

Tom Hardy’s Peaky Blinders exit wasn’t planned (Picture: BBC One)

Warning: Peaky Blinders spoilers

Peaky Blinders fans were left reeling over Tom Hardy’s sudden exit from the show, at the end of season four.

And it turns out having Tommy Shelby (Cillian Murphy) shooting Alfie Solomons was a very, very last minute decision.

During an appearance on BBC Sounds’ Obsessed With Peaky Blinders podcast, director David Caffrey confessed: ‘We had a tiny little window with Tom about. We did the stuff at the beer barrels in Liverpool and then we were about to go to the beach.

‘But that [shooting between Alfie and Tommy] hadn’t been written. Steve had just come up with that two days beforehand. We hadn’t recced it, hadn’t looked at it and so I literally went through a 24 – 36 hour period of, “We need to organise the tides correct”.

‘So yeah, that particular scene – I think it was Tom and Cillian [Murphy] that sort of worked out the scene, that they fire their guns together and both fall over.

Tommy Shelby Peaky Blinders
Tommy Shelby shot Alfie at the end of the last series (Picture: BBC)

‘So pretty much the bones of the scene that Steve had written was there, but you know just through production reasons, you kind of have to approach things in a different way.’

We are still totally devastated by Alfie’s exit.

And creator Steven Knight admitted he already has Tommy Shelby’s final moments all mapped out.

Lifting the lid on Cillian’s character, he told Radio Times: ‘When I write, it’s a bit like dreaming. I just start writing a scene, and I let the characters start talking to each other.

What’s next for Tommy Shelby? (Picture: BBC)

‘Sometimes I read back what I’ve written and think, “Oh, that’s what he’s doing…”.

‘But I do have something in mind for Tommy in series seven, episode six. But I also have the freedom to get there any way I want.

‘I can take the scenic byways, the tourist route…’

Or…. no route?

Peaky Blinders returns to BBC One on 25 August, at 9pm.

Since becoming a household name, Michelle has seen big changes in her personal life too, having got married in 2015.

But who is Michelle Keegan married to and which soap did she first star in when she played the role of Tina McIntyre and got her big break?

After a whirlwind nine-month romance, the couple announced their engagement in September 2013 after returning to the country where they met, Dubai, where Mark had popped the question.

They got married in May 2015 in a glamorous Suffolk wedding that was shrouded in secrecy thanks to the pair’s magazine deal to cover their nuptials.

Before Michelle and Mark met, the Essex-born TV star was previously engaged to his former TOWIE co-star Lauren Goodger but he called it off in 2011 after it was claimed she cheated on him.

They had dated on and off for nine years.

After doing a stint of long-distance while Mark worked in LA where he was presenting US entertainment show, Extra, the couple are now both based back in the UK.

Horrific details about Elaine O’Hara murder to be explored in Secrets of a Psychopath documentary

One of Ireland’s most high profile and shocking murder cases in recent years is set to be explored in a new documentary for CBS.

Elaine O’Hara, 36, from Dublin, was stabbed to death by Graham Dwyer, 42, in August 2012.

The killing was described as the ‘nearly perfect murder’ as Elaine was thought to have taken her own life and Dwyer was caught due to a series of coincidences.

Their pair had been in a BDSM relationship and the programme will follow how Elaine tried to warn her family.

The synopsis reads: ‘CBS Reality Original, Secrets of a Psychopath takes the viewer through the many coincidences, twists and turns of the investigation, uncovering an obsessive and unconventional relationship which ultimately ended in tragedy.

‘Dark and disturbing text messages reveal a psychopath who groomed his trusting victim under the guise of extreme sadomasochistic practice and, more alarmingly, demonstrate the blood-lust obsessions of the killer as well as the level to which his victim was willing to acquiesce.

‘The investigation, which spanned three police stations, over five thousand hours of CCTV, numerous digital devices, hundreds of lines of inquiry and an online world involving domination, submission and torture, eventually saw police put the pieces together to identify the killer; a manipulative man hiding his evil fantasies behind a reputable and unassuming mask.’

The programme will recount the facts behind the complex murder and is narrated through the first-hand accounts of experts, observers closest to the case, and journalists who reported on the crime as it happened.

Dwyer was convicted of Elaine’s murder and is currently serving a life sentence in prison.

Secrets of a Psychopath stars on CBS Reality on August 24.

What does Brassic mean and what’s it got to do with Sky’s new comedy starring Michelle Keegan?

MIchelle Keegan in Sky comedy Brassic
Michelle Keegan is back on screens and back up north in Brassic (Picture: Sky One)

Michelle Keegan is returning to our screens on Thursday night as Sky One’s new comedy Brassic kicks off.

The Our Girl star joins a cast which also includes the likes of Joe Gilgun and Damien Molony, in a show whose credentials also extend to its writer, Shameless creator Danny Brocklehurst.

The show’s already picking up good reviews and could well become your new Thursday night viewing obsession.

But just what does that unusual title mean, exactly?

Here’s what you need to know about the meaning behind Brassic…

What does Brassic mean?

Brassic is a shortened version of the Cockney rhyming slang phrase ‘boracic lint’ or ‘skint’ – with Urban Dictionary describing it thus: ‘broke, penniless, without means, on the bones of yer arse’.

Boracic lint, however, has nothing to do with finances, and was in fact a type of surgical dressing commonly used in the 19th Century – which was made of surgical lint soaked in a hot solution of boric acid and glycerine and then left to dry before being applied.

Other interpretations have suggested it comes from the Latin term Brassicus – which means to be poor.

What is the connection to the Sky One series?

A still from episode two of Sky One's Brassic
Expect comedy capers but also a more serious side to proceedings (Picture: Sky One)

The series title Brassic refers to the main characters in the series, who are a group of working-class friends in the north of England who are, as one of them puts it, ‘primarily thieves’ – committing various crimes in order to keep their pockets lined.

Their exploits include everything from scamming and bribing to stealing a Shetland pony – but there’s a serious side to the antics also, with the show also tackling mental health issues in between the comedy.

What time is Brassic on Sky One?

The first episode of Brassic is on Thursday night on Sky One at 10pm, with episode two following at 11pm.

The remaining four episodes will then air at the same time each week.

If you can’t wait that long, however, the entire series is available to download from Sky’s on-demand service or via NOW TV.

It’s 10 years since Susan Boyle burst on to the scene becoming a household name and the biggest success story from Britain’s Got Talent.

But the Scottish performer has been reminiscing about her iconic first audition and how her fashion sense has come along way since.

‘If I was doing my audition all over again, I would make sure I wasn’t dressed in the dark for a start,’ she said on America’s Got Talent.

‘I mean white shoes with black tights, you don’t do that do you?

‘Or do you?’ she laughed.

‘If I was to dress myself I’d probably have a gown on again, probably a green one. And I’d have nice shoes, with my hair done up nice.

‘What was I like? I was like a bloomin’ brush on legs!’

She later joked about giving Simon Cowell fashion advice, recommending he wear a suit.

‘You can’t really tell Simon what to do he’s his own boss!’

Susan was speaking after her impressive live performance on America’s Got Talent yesterday.

Ten years since she wowed the world with her beautiful rendition of I Dreamed A Dream, the singer took to the stage again to sing the song that started it all.

Simon Cowell praised the singer in an emotional reunion.

‘I swear to god it felt like 10 minutes ago. I’ll remember that audition for the rest of my life,’ Simon said of the franchise’s biggest success story.

Britain’s Got Talent returns airs Saturday 31 August on ITV.

Where is Sky One’s Michelle Keegan comedy Brassic filmed?

SKyOne TV series Brassic cast
Brassic might look familiar to Lancashire residents (Picture: Sky)

Michelle Keegan is heading back up north for her latest TV role, in Sky One’s new comedy series Brassic.

The former Coronation Street star stars alongside the likes of Joe Gilgun and Damien Molony in the series about a group of working-class friends making their way through life via some rather unconventional and not entirely legal means.

It might be set up north – but just where does the series take place and where was it filmed?

Here’s what you need to know…

Where is Michelle Keegan comedy Brassic set?

Brassic is set in the fictional town of Hawley, which is inspired by Joe Gilgun’s experiences of growing up in Chorley.

Location manager Jonathan Davies told I Love Manchester: “We were given the scripts and a few of us had a meeting with Joe to talk through the feel and look of the show and to talk about which direction to go in.

‘It’s a very collaborative process to build a world that fits with the story and script. People want to feel like they’re being transported into that real world of Brassic.’

Where was Brassic filmed?

While it might take place in a fictional setting in Lancashire, Brassic was actually filmed in the real Lancashire town of Bacup.

Locals might just recognise some of the locations also, with the area near the former police station being used as well as locations near Broadclough Mill and around Market Street.

The film crews certainly caused a bit of a stir among locals when they shot scenes there last September – with one local tweeting: ‘As if Michelle Keegan is filming in Bacup, love her.’

Another local, Michael Almond, told Lancs Life: ‘“There were quite a few people including myself watching and it was causing a bit of traffic problems as people kept stopping. Michelle Keegan was there surrounded by security guards and there was a Mercedes van ready to take her away when she was done.

‘It’s not something that you really see in Bacup.’

Expect to see scenes around the Pennines also (Picture: Sky)

The town does have its own small place in TV history however – as it’s said to havce been the inspiration for The League Of Gentlemen’s setting Royston Vasey.

Other scenes – such as the setting for the shack in which Vinnie (Gilgun) lives – were filmed around Bolton, while episode one’s opening car chase was filmed around country roads in West Yorkshire.

And if you live in Manchester you might recognise the setting for the gang’s local pub, as they were filmed in The Star And Garter near Manchester Piccadilly station.

When is Brassic on Sky One?

The series kicks off on Thursday night at 10pm with the second episode airing straight afterwards at 11pm.

The remaining four episodes will air for the next four weeks at the same time.

Alternatively the entire series is now available on Sky on-demand and NOW TV for your binge-watching pleasure.

Love Island’s Michael Griffith’s has blasted fellow 2019 islander Tommy Fury for not cleaning up after himself in the villa.

The 27-year-old firefighter has been looking back on his summer in Mallorca and speaking about what it was like to live with the others – but he’s not impressed by the boxer’s personal hygiene.

‘He’s so filthy. He doesn’t pick up his clothes,’ Michael said of Tommy.

‘He doesn’t know how to cook, he doesn’t know how to clean up after himself,’ he added in an interview with FUBAR Radio when asked who was the worst person to live with in the villa.

‘I was like “Tommy, you need to start picking your clothes up because they stink.”’

Michael also revealed that he dressed Tommy every day.

‘All the outfits that he wore were my clothes. He came in with like three outfits and I was like “Tommy, you do realise you could be in here for up to eight weeks and you brought three outfits”.’

Elsewhere in the interview, Michael spoke about his feelings for Joanna Chimonides.

‘Well the sneaky kiss happened didn’t it so there’s obviously something there for that to happen,’ he teased.

‘Both our schedules are just clashing at the minute so we haven’t really had time to sit down and speak.

‘We’ve only really seen each other on events so it’s been very few and far between.’

He added: ‘We speak to each other and keep up with each other but it’s just like making sure that we’re dealing with the whole after Love Island lifestyle.’

Love Island returns to ITV2 early next year.

We may be seeing more of these two in the mornings (Picture: ITV)

Holly Willoughby and Philip Schofield are due to fill in the gap on ITV daytime television left since The Jeremy Kyle Show was axed this summer.

Big changes to the daily schedule are in store, with network bosses reportedly planning to shift the times of its morning offerings in order to create a more cohesive viewing experience.

The Mirror reports that a ‘bumper This Morning’ time-slot will see the two hosts awarded with significant pay increases.

The proposed rejig will see 30 minutes of news kick things off at 6am, before a handover to Piers Morgan and Susannah Reid on Good Morning Britain at 6.30am.

Lorraine usually starts at 8.30am but will be moved to 9am before handing over to Holly and Phil at 10am.

Bosses are hoping to see the various hosts interact with each other for ‘more of a live event’.

The proposal was submitted to an ITV focus group and the paper reports it suggests: ‘From crying with laughter at naughty pictures innocent kids have drawn to recalling personal funny and relatable anecdotes.

‘Nothing is off limits as they talk about the stories and pictures of the day that have grabbed their attention.

‘The show would have more interaction between the end of each show and a smoother handover between presenters into the next show.

‘Eg Lorraine may chat with Phil and Holly to hand over each day.’

Judge Rinder has been filling the time 9.30am time slot since Jeremy Kyle was pulled of the air following the suicide of guest Steve Dymond.

This Morning airs weekdays on ITV at 10.30.
