Ant and Dec look like they’re having a whale of a time as they joined Jamie Oliver for his upcoming Christmas special episode.

After a tough few years, the TV favourites were all smiles as they laughed their way across Southend Pier, helping Jamie to cook.

The behind the scenes moments prove that the pair have put the past behind them.

Ant, 43, stepped down from all TV presenting duties last year, including Saturday Night Takeaway, following his arrest for drink-driving.

Dec, also 43, went on to call the drink-driving ‘indefensible’ and revealed he considered splitting their iconic pairing up.

The Britain’s Got Talent star explained he would be lying if he hadn’t thought about turning his back on their bond.

But the father-of-one added ‘ultimately’ just wanted his best friend ‘healthy and happy’.

But after returning to screens on Britain’s Got Talent earlier in 2019, the dynamic duo have put their aprons on to work alongside the acclaimed chef for the new series, cooking some healthy and tasty grub.

It was all laughs for the pair as they spent time together, with the pictures showing they had also bought along with them some old photographs of their long career which were pinned to the refrigerator.

The segment will be for the cooks’ show Jamie and Jimmy’s Friday Night Feast, which sees celebrity guests cook up a storm with the pair.

The celebrity chef has been pictured back on Southend Pier shooting the Christmas special of his Friday Night Feast which saw Rocketman star Taron recently joined Jamie in cooking a Christmas feast, along with special guest star Santa.

The pair shared pictures on their Instagram pages but cleverly kept all the details of what they were cooking secret.

They were also snapped pulling faces with each other and Taron was seen driving down the pier in a golf cart laughing.

Naga Munchetty ‘breaks BBC Guidelines’ after calling out ‘racist’ Trump remarks – but viewers support her

BBC Breakfast’s Naga Munchetty has been ruled as ‘breaking channel guidelines’ over her powerful comments surrounding Donald Trump – and viewers couldn’t be prouder.

The anchor was presenting the early morning show on 17 July when she went off-script to slam President Donald Trump’s comments telling his opposers to ‘go back and help fix the totally broken and crime infested places from which they came’.

His political opponents include the Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ayanna Pressley and Ilhan Omar – all of whom are from minority backgrounds.

Going off-book from the teleprompter, Naga declared: ‘Every time I have been told, as a woman of colour, to go back to where I came from, that was embedded in racism.

‘Now I’m not accusing anyone of anything here, but you know what certain phrases mean.’

Speaking alongside Dan Walker, she added: ‘I can imagine lots of people in this country will be feeling absolutely furious that a man in that position feels it’s okay to skirt the lines with using language like that.’

But the Executive Complaints Unit for the channel have ruled that she ‘went too far’.

They said: ‘While Ms Munchetty was entitled to give a personal response to the phrase ‘go back to your own country’ as it was rooted in her own experience, overall her comments went beyond what the guidelines allow for.’

It is not known if the BBC will take any further action at this time.

Despite their ruling, Naga’s comments have been praised online by viewers and supporters, who think that she was within her rights to make the comments she did.

‘That’s ridiculous @BBCNaga is the best presenter on BBC Breakfast – and why could she not say what was obvious to us all. I will be extremely disappointed in the BBC if they take any action,’ one wrote.

Grabs: BBC Breakfast host Naga Munchetty has voiced fury over US President Donald Trump?s recent tweets telling four female Democratic politicians to ?go back? to the countries from which they came.
Naga highlighted the underlying racism of the comment from Trump on air (Picture: BBC)

‘[Naga] has my absolute full support she was speaking her truth. If the BBC take any action against her it will be an absolute disgrace,’ added another. ‘We all know when someone says phrases like that it’s racist to suggest otherwise is silly doesn’t matter who said it.’

A third also slammed the decision and said: ‘Utterly ridiculous, [Naga] has personal experience of this type of language and is perfectly right to inform viewers of her own experiences as long as it adds to the story, which it did. She did nothing wrong.’

‘Is there a complaints procedure in place for us to call into question the conduct of the BBC complaints department?,’ another added.

Naga is yet to publicly comment on the decision.

BBC Breakfast airs weekdays from 6am on BBC One.

Curtis Pritchard insists Love Island WhatsApp chat still ‘popping’ amid Ovie Soko’s snub

Curtis Pritchard has insisted all the Love Island gang have been included in the cast WhatsApp group, after Ovie Soko claimed he had been snubbed by his co-stars.

And we’re a little confused.

Speaking exclusively to Metro.co.uk to promote his Weight Watchers campaign, the professional dancer told us it is definitely still ‘popping’ – but he managed to lock himself out of it by accident.

When asked if the ITV2 stars are still active in the chat, the 23-year-old told us: ‘Every now and again. You know what? It has been [popping], but I can’t really talk much at the moment because I’ve just been trying to swap phones over and I’ve locked myself out of WhatsApp because I was trying to upload this and that.

‘So I haven’t actually been on WhatsApp for a little bit, it’s been a bit of a pain.

‘It hasn’t been going wild currently because I’m not on it, but I believe everyone still stays in contact, absolutely.’

However, when Curtis was asked about Ovie’s revelation that he was never part of the group, and wasn’t part of the infamous chat, he changed his tune slightly.

Love Island's Curtis Pritchard
Curtis backtracked slightly over the apparent snub (Picture: Getty)

‘I believe everyone’s in the group, yeah,’ he remarked on the apparent snub.

‘Everyone is saying “the group”, there’s about 50 different groups. It’s not just a one Love Island group and that’s that… I don’t know how that’s all come around, of everyone thinking that.

‘There’s so many different groups of this and that, random things… Some people aren’t even in the country so they’re not going to be added in.

‘It’s all so many different variants, from the Boohoo dinners, house-warming parties, this and that. It’s just there are so many different chats.’

We’d just like to be involved in any WhatsApp chat, to be honest.

Love Island's Ovie Soko
Ovie Soko revealed he wasn’t part of any group with his castmates (Picture: Rex)

Curtis’ words come after Ovie told Metro.co.uk he was never part of the main group – or basically any of them.

And our hearts broken a little.

‘A lot of people have been asking about this Love Island WhatsApp group…,’ he admitted.

‘This seems to be the thing. ‘I mean, I’ve got everyone’s numbers from Love Island, but I’m not part of any group…

‘So maybe there’s a group out there that I’m not part of… Are you telling me I should be part of the group?!’

Love Island's Maura Higgins
Maura was adamant there wasn’t much going on in the group anyway (Picture: Backgrid)

Laughing the whole thing off, the basketball player joked: ‘You’ve just let me know I’m not part of the group, oh wow. Wow.’

That’s fine hun, you can be in ours….!

It doesn’t seem like Ovie’s missing out on anything too important anyway, as Maura revealed the whole chat was basically dead.

When asked if the infamous chat is still going, the 28-year-old said: ‘Hmmm, I think there is one…

‘I don’t usually tend to use groups much, so I’m actually unsure about that. I know there was one, there probably still is….’

No worries, we’ll make our own with Ovie, called ‘Message’.

Amber reveals there were more Love Island stars in the running for Dancing on Ice (Picture: ITV/Rex)

Amber Gill has confirmed that she was initially approached to be on this year’s Dancing On Ice – before former villa mate Maura Higgins eventually got the spot.

However, the 2018 Love Island winner isn’t bitter about it at all, because there were even more stars approached for it before Maura nabbed the one spot going for a former islanders.

Speaking to The Sun, Amber said: ‘I didn’t realise I had a place to lose, to be honest.

‘I think a few islanders from this series went to ITV and had a chat about Dancing On Ice, but it’s a super-huge commitment and I went away from that meeting thinking it was probably a bit much, training constantly.

‘I went to see them, though, because I think you have got to find out what something is before you just say a flat-out no.’

She added that she was ‘on her own path’ and saw no competition in Maura because ‘there’s enough room for everybody’.

And Amber definitely has more than enough to be getting on with – starting with a £1million deal with Miss Pap.

Maura was announced as the first star for the upcoming Dancing On Ice on This Morning on Tuesday, with Michael Barrymore being confirmed shortly after.

Following them on Wednesday, footballer Kevin Kilbane and newsreader Lucrezia Millarini were confirmed, with eight more stars yet to be announced.

‘I am up for the challenge, I am more excited than scared, I am brave and competitive and that will drive me,’ she said.

‘I need someone strict,’ she added of her partner before revealing she has only ‘skated once in my life for fun, so I’ve no experience at all’.

Dancing On Ice returns in early 2020 on ITV.

Emma Willis and Richard Madeley helped The Circle draw in its highest ever viewing figures.

The series two launch on Tuesday night drew in an average audience of 1.2m, an increase on last year’s launch of 1m.

Channel 4 confirmed the show is a hit with young people, as the episode earned a 24.2% share of 16-34 year olds who were watching TV from 9.15pm to 10.35pm last night.

The episode saw the new contestants move in to the block of flats where they will be staying throughout the competition.

They will never meet face to face, only communicating through the social hub, The Circle.

This Morning presenter Richard, 63, moved into his own cost flat before getting his own player profile, which will be decided on by viewers.

Among the contestants are Katie, who is posing as her 25-year-old son, 26-year-old James, who is pretending to be a single mum, and 18-year-old Woody, the son of Zoe Ball and Norman Cook, best known as DJ Fatboy Slim.

Woody said his famous parents have been ‘supportive’ of him going on the reality TV show.

He said: ‘They have given me a lot to think about from past experiences and advice. They said that what you say on TV is out there forever and you can’t unsay it and that once you share too much you never unshare it.’

He added: ‘I might tell one person [about my parents] if I really trust them.

‘My whole life a lot of people have already known who I am before I meet them. This is a good chance to see if people actually like me on my own.’

The Circle airs weeknights from 10pm on Channel 4.

Strictly’s Giovanni Pernice wants to perform in drag with Michelle Visage

Giovanni Pernice has certainly been inspired by Michelle Visage on Strictly Come Dancing – and hopes to perform an upcoming routine with her in full drag.

The RuPaul’s Drag Race judge has been partnered with Giovanni for this year’s series, and together they wowed the audience with their Cha Cha to So Emotional by Whitney Houston last week.

So when they appeared on It Takes Two this evening, host Zoe Ball couldn’t help but quiz the dance star if he was hoping to crossover with Michelle’s normal job in the near future.

We’re going to need to see Gio in drag immediately please! (Picture: BBC)

Showing him a mock up of what he would look like in drag (complete with blue hair and false eyelashes for days) Giovanni was taken aback before declaring he was hoping an upcoming routine would let him embrace his inner diva.

He told the host: ‘I always say that to production as well that one week I would like to dress up like a drag queen! So we’ll see if it will happen.’

‘I want it to happen!’ he reassured, and when it came to his drag name, Gio added: ‘It could be anything. Pamela, Conseula, Francesca…all of them.’

Ok, we’re going to need to this to happen as soon as possible.

Maybe keep our fingers crossed for a drag-infused Charleston or Jive?

In the meantime, the pair are preparing for a Vienesse Waltz to That’s Amore by Dean Martin for this week’s show.

With any luck, they’ll be able to secure their votes for another week – because if they don’t this week is the first elimination of the series.

Strictly: It Takes Two airs tomorrow at 5.15pm on BBC One.

Stranger Things 3: Is this how Hopper survived the portal blast to return in season 4?

Hopper - Stranger Things 3
Despite his end, viewers are convinced there’s a way Hopper will return (Picture: Netflix)

A Stranger Things fan reckons they’ve cracked the code to how Hopper survived the devastating end to season 3 – and it’s all thanks to Back To The Future.

Jim Hopper (David Harbour) was seen being zapped into nothingness during The Battle for Starcourt Mall after Joyce Byers (Winona Ryder) couldn’t keep it open any longer.

Seemingly accepting his fate, he gave her a teary nod and that was the last we saw of him, leaving Joyce, adopted daughter Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) and the rest of the gang devastated.

But with no body, fans have been trying to figure out a way he could’ve survived for a triumphant season four return, and Reddit user TitanicMan thinks it comes down to the films that the show consistently references throughout its run.

Sharing their thoughts, they said that the show will ‘pull a Brian from Family Guy’ with him and figure out a way to bring the fan fave back.

‘Something I noticed about the cinematography about the whole situation with the machine. Not once did they ever show what happened to someone standing where Hopper was standing. People were always standing back by the machine, not up between the beam and the rip.

‘It conveniently didn’t show Hoppers “death” in that unique scenario. It specifically cut away at that moment. They’re clearly not afraid to gore a main character.

‘Why not show the slightest hint on what happened to him? Because it didn’t actually happen, they’re only implying.’

Stranger Things
Will Joyce and Hopper be reunited in Stranger Things 4? (Picture: Netflix)

Saying that the show is drawing parallels between Hopper and Eleven’s character, they reckon the bait-and-switch ‘not really dead’ model and time travel could become more important than the passing comments the show gave it.

More than that, Back To The Future, which focuses on a time-travelling DeLorean car, could be using the same science as the Russians who created the portal (whose destination is still unknown.)

‘The whole room is basically an inside-out stationary DeLorean. Nuclear powered, blue beam, a tear in spacetime, metal rooms, being obliterated by temporal malfunction due to no protection from the machine,’ they added.

…That could actually work, in theory. If the show decides to make it so, that is.

As a result they reckon that he could well be the American that the Russians were guarding at the end of the episode, which would explain the portal destination – and also the presence of the Demogorgon that popped up in the season’s final seconds.

‘Everything that would confirm death was hidden, and there are hints that machine has a connection to Russia itself, where there so happens to be a creature from the upside down and “an American”,’ they added.

It would certainly be a welcome return if this was the case, and one less question we need an answer to.

Stranger Things is available now on Netflix.

Is Asha self-harming in Coronation Street and why is she using skin-lightening cream?

Coronation Street’s Asha Alahan (Tanisha Gorey) has been using creams to lighten her skin, as her friend Amy Barlow (Elle Mulvaney) will soon discover.

Her dad, Dev Alahan (Jimmi Harkishin), is still none the wiser but is perplexed by his daughter’s recent behaviour. Whenever he tries to talk to her about what’s going on, she shuts him out.

Asha’s behaviour changed after she came back from holiday in India – where she first bought the cream – and she began to isolate herself.

But what caused Asha to start using the cream to begin with?

Is Asha self-harming in Coronation Street and why is she using skin-lightening cream?

During a singing audition for the school musical, Amy notices that there is blood seeping through the sleeve of Asha’s top.

Then, as the drama teacher hands out sleeveless dresses for the dance trial, Asha panics and runs from the room, which causes Amy to believe she is self-harming. Asha then reveals that the damage to her skin is because of a bad reaction to the skin lightening cream that she has been using.

The teen has been struggling with her self-esteem and body confidence, which was only knocked further when a boy she liked turned out to be more interested in Amy than he was in her.

Things come to a head when Asha steals her dad’s credit card to buy more skin lightening cream, which he will find out next week.

When a parcel that is meant for Asha arrives at the house, he opens it up and finds the cream inside, before ordering her to pull up the arm of her shirt. He then sees the damage that the cream has done to his daughter’s skin.

How will he react to finding out the truth?

Game of Thrones season 8 ‘plot hole’ suggests Jon Snow should have died with the Night King

A Game Of Thrones fan thinks they have discovered a ‘plot hole’ (Picture: HBO)

A Game Of Thrones fan theory claims Jon Snow should have died when the Night King was defeated in season eight.

Fan AlynOakenfist, shared a possible ‘plot hole’ they discovered from the final season on Reddit.

They recalled the fact Jon was resurrected by magic after he was stabbed by the Night’s Watch, which they think links him to the leader of the White Walkers.

In their Reddit post, the viewer wrote: ‘What if at the end of 8.03…after the Night King and all his buddies have fallen, all the ‘fire wights’ would also cease to exist too?

‘Beric and Jon were both resurrected by the magic of R’hllor, mostly with the purpose of fighting the Great Other. After that purpose has been fulfilled, it would make sense for them to ‘die’ as well.

‘It would also make Dany’s turn to the dark side a bit more plausible if she would lose her boyfriend and only relative. Let me know what you think.’

Another fan agreed saying Melisandre (Carice van Houten) ‘made it seem that way when Beric died’.

But they added that it could mean the Lord Of Light wouldn’t ressurect him because ‘his purpose has been served’.

However one viewer felt the show wasn’t set up ‘properly’ for the theory to play out, adding that Daenerys’ turn to the dark side wouldn’t have been improved by Jon dying.

Dany’s sudden transformation to villain in the last season is clearly still a sore point.

Meanwhile the Red Woman herself has spoken in praise of the ‘silly but smart’ last ever episode of the show.

She told The Hollywood Reporter: ‘I just love the fact that the whole throne was blown away. I really loved it, and also the randomness of talking about who’s going to be king.

‘The silliness of it was very smart. I thought, “This is what life is. Some dumbo can become president.

‘That’s the world we live in. We just sort of go, “Uh, that guy,” It was smart that it was just sort of silly. I really liked it, to be honest.’

Game Of Thrones is available to watch on Sky and NOW TV.

The Big Bang Theory star Wil Wheaton has gone and dished up the goods with some seriously epic throwbacks.

Taking to Instagram, the 47-year-old shared a series of pictures of himself as a teenager, and fans were in love.

Explaining that the shots were more than 35-years-old, the actor, who played himself in the much loved sitcom, told his followers to enjoy the ‘awkwardness’.

He wrote: ‘#tbt the awkward teen magazine years.

‘I didn’t get her name, but a lovely woman in Portland brought me her collection, now at least 35 years old, of clippings from teen magazines I was in, when I was a kid.

‘Please enjoy my awkwardness, on full display, and be grateful your blunder years are private.’

He later shared another childhood picture to promote his latest campaign after throwing his support behind the National Alliance on Mental Illness charity.

‘Not many people know this, but the crew uniform design was originally much more punk than what ended up airing on TV,’ he wrote.

‘Purchase my #ActingEnsign tee and help me support @namicommunicate!’

The actor added: ‘I’m donating 100% of profits to aid in their fight to improve the mental health and well-being of millions of Americans like myself.’

Fans were quick to comment and complimented the star on ‘aging like a fine wine’.

A little over 10 years ago I got an email from a woman who at the time was Bill Prady’s assistant,’ Wil began.

‘I didn’t recognise her email address so I actually thought it was a friend of mine playing a prank on me, because 10 years ago I thought there’s no way anybody in The Big Bang Theory is remotely interested in me. This has got to be a joke.’

It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia’s squad came out in force for the season 14 premiere – particularly Glenn Howerton (Dennis) who just seemed shocked to be invited.

Dressed in a dapper navy blue suit, it was clear Glenn was shocked by the turn out, to the point that his wife Jill Latiano and co-star Rob McElhenney had to help him perch on a seat in the middle of the carpet.

The whole cast were present and correct, with definitely no substitutes, at the premiere, with Danny Devito (Frank), David Hornsby (Rickety Cricket), Kaitlin Olson (Dee), Rob (Mac), Mary Elizabeth Ellis (The Waitress) and Charlie Day (Charlie) all willing to take pics with Glenn.

They’re just that nice as a group of people.

If we didn’t know any better, we’d say that pesky Dennis sex doll made a return to get in on the action…but what do we know?

Rob shared the group shot online, and wrote underneath: ‘From our family to yours, thank you for inviting us into your homes for 14 years. See you tonight. #sunny’

The new season comes as the show was snubbed from the Emmys (again), despite his pleas for consideration for the emotional interpretive dance Mac performed as he came out to his father.

But there’s always next season, and by the looks of it Mac, Charlie, Dennis, Frank and Dee are going to be worse than ever – and there might even be a new roommate to contend with.

It’s Always Sunny returns with the whole gang for season 14, with Glenn – who also stars on AP Bio – directing two episodes.

Glenn initially left the show at the end of season 12, but is back full-time with Mac (Rob McElhenney), Dee (Kaitlin Olson), Charlie (Charlie Day) and Frank (Danny DeVito) this season.

We’ve been promised that the gang aren’t ever going to change anytime soon, and there might even be a new roommate to contend with.

God help them.

It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia launches tonight on FX in the US and airs in the UK on Netflix.

Martin Clunes reprises his role as grumpy medic Dr Martin Ellingham in the new series of Doc Martin.

The ITV drama is returning for a ninth series and sees the return of a number of familiar faces including as Caroline Catz who plays the doctor’s wife Louise Ellingham, Dame Eileen Atkins as the formidable Aunt Ruth and Ian McNeice as Bert Large.

As always, the drama is filmed in and around the picturesque Port Isaac in Cornwall, which stands in for the show’s fictional seaside village of Portwenn.

Here are some of the Doc Martin filming locations.

Fern Cottage

Fern Cottage is one of the most recognisable locations from the series and stands in for Doc Martin’s medical surgery.

It can be found 100m past the Port Isaac harbour and up the hill, and boasts impressive views of the village.

Fans can rent from Home Away to see the building in all its glory.

Doydens Castle, Port Quin

The most romantic spot of the show, Doydens Castle is where Mrs Tishell declared her love for Doc Martin at the end of the fifth series.

The castle is nestled in the cliffs in neighbouring Port Quin, and is even available for holiday rental through National Trust.

St Nonna’s Church, Altarnun

Doc Martin was first jilted at the altar at the idyllic St Nonna’s Church, but later tied the knot there with sweetheart Louise.

The 12th century church, known as the Cathedral of the Moor, sits beside the Altarnun village green and river.

Port Isaac

While most of the interior shots in Doc Martin are filmed at Roscarrock Manor Farm – also the backdrop for Nampara House in the original Poldark – a number of sets also fall in Port Isaac.

The Liberal Club stands in as a village shop while the Golden Lion Pub is where Doc Martin enjoys a pint.

The only interior set filmed in Port Isaac is at Buttermilk Confections which doubles as Mrs Tishall’s Chemist Shop.

Doc Martin returns on Wednesday 25th September at 9pm on ITV.

Mama June tried to hide her face as her boyfriend Geno Doak hurled vile and x-rated insults outside of a courthouse before they attended a hearing over their crack cocaine charge.

Geno and June, who were charged with felony drug possession in Macon County, Alabama, appeared at the courthouse today for the arraignment hearing.

But getting out of the car it was clear they weren’t going in quietly as they started hurling insults at the cameras.

‘What’s up p***ys? F***ing q***s!,’ Geno screamed at the TMZ cameras, before telling them to f*** off as they asked questions.

June kept quiet and hid her face under a hoody but then spat that she was ‘so over this f***ing stupid s***’ before entering the courthouse.

Their plea hearing is set for Thursday, where they are expected to plea ‘not guilty’. Geno was heard repeating the phrase as he exited the courthouse in another video.

June and Geno have sold their house and are now living in an RV after an alleged drug possession and ‘domestic incident’ at a gas station in March saw them both arrested.

June’s 14-year-old daughter, Alanna – aka Honey Boo Boo – has since moved out of the family home and in with her sister Lauryn, 19, after intervention pleas that her mother seek help were ignored.

Alongside Geno, June later sold all of her belongings in a garage sale, including wire hangers and their bed.

It is not yet known if June’s work on From Not To Hot, the TV show spin off that helped her lose 300lbs, will continue or not.

Strictly Come Dancing star Catherine Tyldesley looked in good shape as she continued rehearsals for the new series.

The actress beamed as she made her way into training, where professional partner Johannes Radebe was ready to put her through her paces.

The ex Coronation Street star had her priorities in order as she stopped off at Nandos on the way to pick up some food.

The 36-year-old looked sporty in all black athleisure gear, teamed with a leopard scarf and a leather jacket.

It comes after the soap star struggled with motion sickness during their Viennese Waltz to I Got You Babe by Sonny and Cher.

As dancers and fans of the show will know, the Viennese Waltz involves a lot of elegant spins which became a bit too much for Catherine.

She previously admitted that she had to take anti-sickness tablets in training.

Praising her ‘phenomenal’ partner, she said: ‘I’m extremely nervous and I’m doing the Viennese waltz which makes me feel very sick. I’m actually taking anti-sickness tablets because of the spinning!

‘I’m really glad you can’t get voted out on week one because it’s so difficult, but I am just having the best time.’

Catherine and Johannes scored 20 points out of 40 for their dance, and she will no doubt be looking to improve on that this weekend.

Judges Shirley Ballas, Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse and Bruno Tonioli, felt the Scarborough star had ‘great potential’ to go far in the competition.

Motsi said: ‘You two are just a beautiful tall elegant couple, and you managed to create an atmosphere for further cases when you dance ballroom just to stay in his right shoulder and that smooths everything out.’

The week two dances have been revealed as the celebs take to the floor again before one couple gets the chop.

The soap star will be taking to the floor to perform something more upbeat than last week – a Samba to Let The Groove Get In by Justin Timberlake.

Strictly Come Dancing airs Saturday at 6.15pm on BBC One.

Dame Helen Mirren arrived at the premiere for Catherine The Great in style.

The 74-year-old sailed down the red carpet in an ornate sedan chair held up by four burly men.

We hope those chaps realised the significance of that moment, carrying none other than Helen Mirren to her own premiere.

The chair was an ivory colour, and interior – including a high-backed throne for the actress – was pale blue.

The actress looked typically regal in a Tudor-style bodice and wide leg black trousers, and a statement necklace providing some seriously regal bling.

Judging by her expression as she made her arrival, Dame Helen knew how good she looked.

When the chair was placed down on the red carpet, one of the men opened the door for her and helped her meet her adoring public.

After she alighted from her royal ride, Helen walked the red carpet posing for photos.

She didn’t let a little thing like a premiere stop her from answering her phone in front of the cameras and taking a quick call.

On the carpet she was joined by her co-stars Kevin McNally, Gina McKee, and Jason Clarke.

The Red star is playing 18th century Russian Empress Catherine, who ruled from 1762-1796, the country’s longest-ruling female leader. Known for the affairs of the state as well as the affairs of the heart, the show will present the famous empress’ politics, her wars, and her love life.

Richard Madeley is settling into life as the secret celebrity contestant of the new series of The Circle.

The TV presenter moved into his own individual flat after the eight contestants and, unbeknownst to them, has entered the game under a profile decided by the public.

Richard will pose to the other players as either 23-year-old Richard or 27-year-old Judy, with the decision having been left up to viewers who have been voting on their preferred alias.

How long will Richard Madeley be on The Circle?

It appears, just as the other players, Richard will remain in the competition for the full three and a half weeks and will be able to win.

Richard Madeley - The Circle

However as it’s early days, not much is known about his role in The Circle – but it’s bound to become clearer in the coming week.

What is Richard Madeley’s game plan or The Circle?

Richard does not have a strategy for success but is ready for any task thrown his way by the public and fully embrace the role of an ‘agent of mischief’.

The 63-year-old said: ‘What I’m going to have to try and avoid doing it not attempt to be cool or clever.

‘I think I’ve just got to take it as it comes, basically be quite kind while I’m talking to people and stay away from difficult topics that can easily be misinterpreted.’

That being said he admitted he was ‘really looking forward’ to the experience, predominately being able to switch his phone off and ‘go offline’.

Gypsy Sisters star Kayla Williams has rushed her one-year-old grandson to hospital after he was horrifically burned in the bath by his sister.

Baby Henry Ace was at the family home in West Virginia when his seven-year-old stepsister decided to give him a bath.

However, she didn’t put in any cold water after letting the hot water fill the bathtub, leaving him in horrific pain.

Speaking to TMZ, Kayla revealed she immediately called emergency services and Henry was airlifted to hospital in Maryland to receive treatment.

The tot is now covered in second-degree burns and he is awaiting a skin graft.

Henry has been put on a ventilator and sedated to stop him from being in any more pain as he awaits the surgery.

Law enforcement has corroborated the incident with TMZ, with the site’s sources claiming they are investigating over whether or not it was an accident.

No charges have been filed over the incident.

Tim Wilson on Channel 4's The Circle
Tim used to be a monk (Picture: Channel 4)

The Circle has returned for its second series, and Tim Wilson has already captured viewers’ hearts, thanks to his lovable character and an uncanny resemblance to the late actor, Robin Williams.

He has also become close with several others on Channel 4’s reality TV show, including Georgina – the pair talked about her Crohn’s disease – and Brooke, whom he bonded with over their common love of France.

Everything is off to a great start with Tim stealing the show, alongside his cat, Bey – but it’s a very different environment to his regular life.

Here’s what we know about him, including his age and what he does for a living.

How old is The Circle’s Tim?

The the dashing older fellow (who really knows how to pull off a waistcoat) is 58 years old.

His orange tabby’s age is unknown, thus far.

The Circle's Georgina Aurelia
The Circle’s Georgina has been open about living with Crohn’s disease (Picture: Channel 4)

What is Tim’s day job?

Tim has lead an interesting life, and held many different jobs.

Before he was accepted to Oxford University, he was a monk, but left to pursue his studies.

Following this, he worked in Greece and Moscow, was employed as a theatre designer and director and briefly worked as a goat herder, looking after 100 goats.

Tim is also engaged in politics and ran for UKIP to become an MP in 2015, but stepped down after getting caught up in a racism scandal. He claims the reason he joined the party to begin with was in order to expose them.

Now, he works as a theology professor, as well as an animator for Rugby.

The Circle airs tonight on Channel 4 at 10pm.

Channel 4’s reality show The Circle has returned with a bang for a second series and an even bigger prize of £100,000.

Nine new contestants were unveiled in the debut episode as they moved into individual flats where they’ll stay for the next three and half weeks.

While they won’t meet each other, they will communicate through their profiles on The Circle – whether they reveal their true selves or create new personas.

Where is The Circle filmed?

In its debut series, the reality show was filmed in a block of flats in London.

However the new instalment has seen the players holed up in accommodation in Salford, Manchester.

Producers are keen to keep the exact location a secret for security reasons, but considering there is a huge neon circle fixed to the side of the building, it’s a bit hard to ignore for locals.

Each flat is decorated with modern furnishings including plush bedding, swanky kitchen appliances and plenty of house plants.

Who won The Circle series one?

The first series of The Circle was won by Alex Hobern, who had pretended to be 25-year-old Kate – using his girlfriend’s photos – throughout his time on the social media platform.

Since he won the show, he’s had his hands full with various projects including appearing on podcasts, talk shows and at festivals.

The Circle airs on Channel 4 at 10pm tonight.

No other names have currently been announced connected to the series.

Snap Originals, including a reality series for Danielle ‘Bhad Bhabie’ Bregoli and transgender beauty mogul Nikita Dragun, will debut this autumn.

Each video is typically no longer than five minutes, will be played vertically on the phone and will feature split screens, and quick cuts in its model.

Tekashi, 23, real name Daniel Hernandez, will have his life put to screen starting from his life as an unknown musician in Brooklyn through to his current prison sentence for racketeering.

He is currently testifying against former gang members of the Nine Trey Bloods gang in a bid to reduce his prison sentence, but those he has spoken out agains, including Cardi B, have denied the claims.

He also testified that he ordered a hit on his rap rival Chief Keef for $20,000 (£16,000).

The unnamed shooter attempted to go through with the attack, earning only $10,000 (£8,000) after failing to shoot the singer.

Following his testimony, Tekashi may enter witness protection for fear the Nine Trey Bloods could come after him for leaking the names.
