Anneka Rice was spotted out in London keeping a low profile after becoming the second celebrity to be eliminated from this year’s Strictly Come Dancing.

Along with her dance partner Kevin Clifton, Anneka was eliminated from the live show after Movie Week, which saw each couple perform a dance inspired by a scene in a famous film.

The TV presenter and her dance partner performed a Kill Bill inspired Charleston to Woo Hoo by The 5,6,7,8s, but they failed to impress the judges and ended up at the bottom of the leaderboard with only 11 points.

The day after being eliminated from the show, Anneka was spotted out in London, wearing an almost all-black look, complete with dark sunglasses and black boots and getting some much needed down-time after the show’s gruelling rehearsal schedule.

Anneka’s final week on the show saw her and Kevin eliminated after a dance-off against David James and Nadiya Bychkova.

Performing one last time, the pair made a bid to impress the judges once more against David and Nadiya’s Batman Forever-inspired routine to Kiss From A Rose by Seal, but the judges unanimously voted to save David and Nadiya for a second week in a row.

But despite not being able to continue on to next week’s show, Anneka admitted it was the right decision, saying: ‘To be honest, I’d have saved David and Nadiya.

‘I’ve just loved this whole thing; I’ve not one negative about the whole experience. We’ve worked really hard, I’m covered in bruises,’ she continued.

Hugging Kevin, she added: ‘I love this man; it’s been a joy to have that honour, that privilege of learning to dance. It’s a whole new world to me.’

She also joked that she hoped her new ‘11 and a half’ dance moves will come in useful at her son’s wedding next year.

‘You’ve put in so much commitment and so much effort,’ Kevin added.

‘You delivered that waltz last week… then to come out and deliver that Charleston – the improvement you’ve made, I’m so proud of you, it’s been an absolute joy.’

Strictly Come Dancing continues Saturday at 6.40pm on BBC One.

Tom Felton and Martin Freeman are among the stars in Stand Up To Cancer’s latest campaign.

Harry Potter star Tom Felton is among an array of actors joining forces to fight cancer in a new short film.

A range of stars, including Tom, Martin Freeman, Celia Imrie, Noel Clarke and Neil Morrissey are backing the return of a joint campaign between Cancer Research UK and Channel 4 in a moving film that sees each celebrity come up with their own innovative ways to raise money for life-saving cancer research.

The film opens with Martin Freeman telling the audience ‘cancer never sleeps, neither do we’ before each celebrity is seen taking a stand against the disease by scaling walls, boxing, break dancing and even dressing up as a carrot, to showcase the amount of both serious and funny ways funds can be raised to help fight the disease.

Speaking about his involvement in the charity, Tom, who is seen rock climbing in the video, said: ‘I really feel that if you have the opportunity to make the smallest difference, you should take it.

‘Research is so important in saving lives and bringing us closer to beating this disease. Cancer does not slow down for anyone, and neither will we.

‘We will continue to push towards getting innovative, new treatments to patients as quickly as possible.’

Martin Freeman added: ‘Stand Up To Cancer is a great opportunity to raise awareness of the tireless work that is being carried out by scientists across the UK every day.

‘Research is the key to making progress, and the sooner we fund more research, the sooner we can find better treatments and cures. No one should have to go through the pain cancer brings.’

The Stand Up To Cancer campaign will continue throughout October and urges people to get involved in raising money for live-saving cancer research by anything from fancy dress, to cooking for friends and family or taking on a gaming challenge.

Previous stars that have got involved in the campaign include Naomi Campbell, Noel Gallagher, Tom Hardy, Gillian Anderson, Idris Elba and James Corden.

For more information on how to get involved, head to the Stand Up For Cancer website.

Vikings star Alexander Ludwig promises season 6 ‘insanity’ as action-packed new trailer confirms start date

Vikings season six is going to be a wild ride from the looks of this new trailer.

The show’s sixth and final season promises more of the spectacular blood and guts chaos that fans have come to know and love from the show.

In the new clip we catch up with some of the main players from the last season, and there’s even a nice mention of Floki to really get fans in the mood for more.

Star Alexander Ludwig shared the trailer on his Instagram page and talked up what viewers can look forward to.

He said: ‘The finale season begins December 4th! WHOS READY FOR THE INSANITY?!’.

Meanwhile Alexander’s co-stars Katheryn Winnick and Alex Høgh Andersen have teased their favourite scenes from the upcoming season, which includes an ‘epic’ battle.

Katheryn, who plays Lagertha, said: ‘I guess my most memorable battle has to be Lagertha’s next battle in season six.

We are expecting ‘insanity’ in the new season (Picture: History)

‘It is epic, took weeks to rehearse, lots of blood, sweat and tears.

‘It is definitely going to be something you have never seen before.’

Alex explained: ‘My favourite battle scene when shooting Vikings is from an episode called Homeland.

There’s going to be some epic fight scenes (Picture: History)

‘My character, Ivar The Boneless, is charging into battle, and he’s really eager to get there, and yet when he finally arrives he gets knocked off the chariot.

‘Straight away he finds himself all along on the battlefield, facing a hundred Saxon soldiers.’

Fondly recalling the moment, he laughed: ‘We shot that scene for 10 hours a day, two days in a row, in the pouring rain, and I was covered in blood from head to toe, screaming all day long. But that was tonnes of fun.’

Vikings season 6 returns to History Channel on December 4.

It’s the Big Bang Theory and Friends crossover we all deserved… (Getty/Rex/Instagram/courteneycoxofficial)

They both starred separately in two of the biggest sitcoms of the past few decades, but Courteney Cox and Kaley Cuoco’s latest Instagram snap has made us wishing more than ever that a Friends and The Big Bang Theory crossover would happen.

Posting a photo of the two actors to her Instagram with the caption ‘Big Bang Friends’, Courteney Cox gave us an insight into what a potential friendship between Monica and Penny would look like.

The two have quite a bit in common, having had starring roles in two of the most successful sitcoms ever, with The Big Bang Theory wrapping up earlier this year after a run of 12 years and Friends currently celebrating its 25th anniversary since it launched, having run from 1994 to 2004.

Both shows have other similarities too. They both take place across ‘hallways’ between apartments, they both have a local hang out place – a coffee shop versus a comic book store – and could Penny and Leonard be any more Rachel and Ross?

Friends/The Big Bang Theory crossover Provider: Instagram/courteneycoxofficial
Is that Kaley and Courteney… or Penny and Monica? (Instagram: @courteneycoxofficial)

But although both series saw an array of guest stars on their shows, we never got to see any of the cast of Friends appear on The Big Bang Theory, despite Kaley previously saying she’d have loved Jennifer Aniston to appear on the show.

‘I love her so much, she’s also my style icon,’ Kaley enthused to AOL Entertainment earlier this year.

‘I’m obsessed with her, because she’s always so effortless and cool.

‘I don’t want to say that it looks like she doesn’t try, because she obviously tries, but she just looks like the coolest chick around.’

We’ve still got our fingers crossed for some sort of anniversary reunion crossover in the years to come…

Strictly Come Dancing’s Anneka Rice nearly has second phone mishap with Kevin Clifton

Strictly Come Dancing star Anneka Rice had yet another ‘phone’ mishap with Kevin Clifton after apologising for accidentally putting her hand in his lap.

The TV star previously mistook Kevin’s phone for something else entirely during a previous TV appearance together, and history nearly repeated itself on spin off show It Takes Two.

On Tuesday’s show Anneka told host Rylan Clark-Neal about how Strictly had encouraged her to become more feminine.

She explained: ‘I turned up as a tomboy and now, I’ve just been out shopping with my son Sam who’s here and I went and I’ve just bought three dresses.’

‘It’s a transformation’, Kevin added.

As she started her next sentence, Anneka apologised to Kevin as she thought she had touched him somewhere inappropriate.

Anneka began: ‘I’m just not interested in…sorry….’

Kevin looked down at his lap confused as the ex Strictly star laughed.

As the rest of the studio joined in, Rylan issued a jokey warning.

He said: ‘Not again, not again. I saw you on This Morning, thank you.

‘It’s his phone don’t worry. Move on swiftly Anneka!’

A similar thing happened with the pair on This Morning as Anneka inspected Kevin’s leg and asked: ‘What’s that?’

As the dancer quickly explained she was touching his phone, presenter Phillip Schofield joked: ‘It’s the Strictly curse already, one week, one week!’

The Challenge Anneka star was booted off the show during Movie Week last Saturday as their Kill Bill inspired routine failed to impress.

She admitted that she didn’t have a say in the routine, and would have preferred something more graceful like their waltz the week before.

‘I wish I’d done more of that kind of dancing. The producers kept getting me to run around,’ Anneka explained.

Full of praise for Kevin, she went on: ‘I’m a transformed person. He is the most patient brilliant man who I’ve met in a very long time.’

Strictly Come Dancing continues Saturday at 6.40pm on BBC One.

Line Of Duty season 6 could return ‘sometime in 2020’ according to show boss Jed Mercurio

Line of Duty could return in 2020, according to the show’s creator.

Series creator and writer Jed Mercurio has revealed he hopes series six will be aired ‘sometime in 2020’, but he admitted there is no official announcement just yet.

Speaking to RadioTimes.com, Jed said: ‘I would hope its sometime in 2020, next year. But that’s not something we’re able to confirm.’

The season five finale aired back in May after a two-year gap between series and since then fans have been eager to find out exactly when season six will be hitting our screens.

But if we are set to get a new series in 2020, it may be later in the year as opposed to earlier, as Jed admitted that the production is still at the ‘planning stage’.

He said: ‘That’s something that we have at the planning stage, so we are working towards a date. We can’t confirm everything until things are in place.’

Vicky McClure stars as Kate Fleming in Line Of Duty (Picture: BBC)

The series follows AC-12’s Superintendent Ted Hastings (Adrian Dunbar), DI Kate Fleming (Vicky McClure) and DS Steve Arnott (Martin Compston) as they investigate corrupt police officers.

There’s not too much info yet on exactly what to expect from the next series of the show, but Jed did drop a pretty huge potential clue on Twitter earlier this year as he hinted that series six would feature a crossover of the first and second series.

Re-posting a photo of Lenny James and Keely Hawes, who played Tony Gates and Lindsay Denton on the show, he commented: ‘Looking forward to seeing you meet in Series 6.’

Bodyguard's Richard Madde and Keeley Hawes
Jed is currently discussing the future of his other hit show Bodyguard (Picture: BBC)

But bringing them back might be tricky as both characters – spoiler alert – have been killed off.

Jed – who also created Bodyguard for the BBC – revealed earlier this year that he was in talks with the broadcaster about the future of both his shows.

He previously said: ‘We’re currently in talks with the BBC about the future of both series. So at this point it’s not possible to say what will happen next.

‘But it’s impossible to work on the two of them simultaneously, so it would have to be sequential.’

He has made it clear he would love Line of Duty to return for a seventh series after a sixth was already commissioned.

It’s almost time to face the music (Picture: PA)

The X Factor Celebrity is almost upon us, and the contestants have been given some new beauty shots – just like the hopefuls in the original version of the show.

Love Island stars, reality TV stars and erm, Martin Bashir, all look ready to take their shot at stardom in the promo pics, that put the line up firmly in the spotlight.

Former contestants Samira Mighty, Zara McDermott, Wes Nelson and Eyal Booker will make up The Islanders, and will be in the groups category – obviously.

Also appearing are Towie star Megan McKenna, soap star Jonny Labey, The Chase star Jenny Ryan and – possibly the best signing – legendary talk show host Ricki Lake.

It’s not just the contestants who have been spruced up. Judges Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh and Nicole Scherzinger also get in on the action.

We are particularly in love with Nicole’s stunning outfit.

The singer and Australia’s Got Talent judge looks incredible in a glitzt, tasseled little black dress and thigh high boots, hinting that she means business with this series

South Park creators ‘apologise’ to China after recent controversial episode which saw their show wiped from the Chinese internet

The Band in China episode sparked the furore of the Chinese government (Picture: South Park Studios)

South Park creators released an ‘official apology’ to China after an episode mocking Hollywood for catering to the Chinese government saw Beijing delete all content of the comedy show from local servers.

The most recent episode of South Park, Band in China, got plenty of attention for its critique of the way Hollywood often carefully shapes its content to avoid offending Chinese government censors.

But in a case of art imitating real life, the Chinese government have fought back by deleting virtually every clip, episode and online discussion of the show from Chinese streaming services, social media and even fan pages, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

In response South Park creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker posted this faux apology to Twitter along with a link to the episode: ‘Like the NBA we welcome the Chinese censors into our homes and into our hearts. We too love money more than freedom and democracy. Xi doesn’t look just like Winnie the Pooh at all.’

sp
That’s quite an ‘apology’ (Picture: Twitter)

They then urged people to tune into their 300th episode before continuing their message.

‘Long live the Communist Party of China! May this autumn’s sorghum harvest be bountiful! We good now China?’

Apparently it is now near impossible to find a trace of South Park anywhere on the Chinese internet – from Weibo, to Youku, to Tieba – any threads, discussions, clips and episodes have been removed or are no longer functional.

The Band in China episode featured a pair of storylines critical of China.

sp
South Park have never been known to shy away from controversy (Picture: South Park Studios)

One involves Randy getting caught attempting to sell weed in China and getting sent to a work camp similar to those Beijing has been using in Xinjiang Province to hold as many as a million Chinese Muslims for political indoctrination – where he runs into an imprisoned Winnie the Pooh.

A second plot follows Stan, Jimmy, Kenny and Butters forming a metal band, which becomes popular and attracts the attention of a manager who wants to make a film about them but then the script keeps changing so the film can safely be distributed in China.

The harsh response is unsurprising given that China’s government has even been known to censor any mention or appearance of Winnie the Pooh because he has become a symbol of the resistance, with local internet users compare Chinese president Xi Jinping to the character.

‘Now I know how Hollywood writers feel,’ Stan says at one point while a Chinese guard watches over him and alters his work while he writes the script.

Several shots are taken at Disney, including a scene where Mickey Mouse shows up to make sure all his employees – other Marvel and Disney cartoon characters – play ball with the Chinese authorities.

The Circle recap: Tim, Woody and Ella are on to Jack and Beth’s catfish ‘Joyce’

The Circle
Jack and Beth tried to fool the other contestants (Picture: Channel 4)

Things got interesting on The Circle when two former players, Beth and Jack, got to return to the show.

The big twist was that they would be catfishing the others, posing as 62-year-old Joyce.

As Jack constantly tried to crack on with Beth, the pair tried to create a backstory for her, giving her a dog called Dora and explaining that she is a widow.

Everyone was welcoming to her at first, but there were some players who weren’t sure that ‘Joyce’ was being completely up front.

Woody and Ella in particular did a bit of digging and came close to catching her out – how long can Beth and Jack keep things up.

‘Joyce’ enters the chat

Jack and Beth officially returned to The Circle as ‘Joyce’ and made a good first impression.

But they ran into their first hurdle during a quiz with the contestants being split into teams and being given questions each team member had to answer.

The final test involved them having to guess the alcoholic beverage. ‘Joyce’ didn’t guess that it was sherry, which led Woody and Tim to get suspicious.

Jack and Beth realised their blunder, but felt that they had got away with it.

The Circle
Jack is pretty sure he has everyone fooled (Picture: Channel 4)

Woody goes into CSI mode

Woody and Ella decided to tag team ‘Joyce’ and try to work out if they were being catfished.

‘Joyce’ mentioned on her profile that she had been to a festival, and instead of making up an obscure event that wouldn’t get them found out, they declared ‘Joyce’ had been to Reading last year – which Woody said he was also at.

He questioned her directly about the best act she saw at Reading that year, forcing Beth and Jack to avoid the question.

Eventually the heat became too much and the duo made a swift exit from the chat, leaving Woody and Ella with more questions than answers.

Ella and Brooke have some ‘sassy’ girl time

Ella decided she wanted to be pally with Brooke and the girls had a bit of banter in a separate chat.

After finding out that he had been sliding into contestants’ DMs, they tore Jack apart, calling him a ‘f**k boy’. Poor Jack, although his attention is probably elsewhere now…

‘Joyce’ chooses to hang out with Tim

Beth and Jack decided that Joyce would want to send more time with Tim, as they had got it into their heads that as they are the older contestants, they would immediately fancy each other.

Their plan went up in smoke after Tim revealed that he is gay – and he threw the pair a serious curveball by asking the breed of her dog Dora.

Beth and Jack were stumped before eventually answering that Dora is a cockapoo.

Have they done enough to throw Tim off the scent?

Ellen DeGeneres addresses backlash as she cops hate for hanging with George W Bush

Talk show host Ellen DeGeneres has defended her friendship with former president George W Bush after she faced backlash.

The star was seen laughing with the republican politician at an NFL game over the weekend, with social media going hard on the 61-year-old.

Not taking the hate at all, the star addressed the situation this week.

Speaking on her show on Monday, she insisted she was invited to the game by the daughter of the Dallas Cowboys owner, Charlotte Jones, who also invited many other famous faces including Ellen’s wife Portia de Rossi.

And George Dubya.

‘When we were invited, I was aware that we were going to be surrounded by many other people from different views and beliefs,’ she said, showing a video she took of the start-studded box.

Ellen was seen alongside George (Picture: FOX)

‘And I’m not talking about politics… I was rooting for the [Green Bay] Packers. So I had to hide my cheese hat in Portia’s purse.

‘During the game they showed a shot of George and me laughing together and people were upset. They thought, “Why is a gay Hollywood liberal sitting next to a conservative Republican president?”’

She continued, addressing the backlash: ‘Here’s the thing. I’m friends with George Bush. I’m friends with a lot of people who don’t share the same beliefs that I have. We’re all different and I think we’ve forgotten that that’s okay that we’re all different…

‘Just because I don’t agree with someone on everything doesn’t mean I’m not going to be friends with them. When I say, “Be kind to one another,” I don’t only mean only the people who think the same way that you do. I mean be kind to everyone.

‘It doesn’t matter.’

Ellen joked: ‘Even people who are already playing Christmas music, seriously, there is no excuse for that. But I’m kind to them.’

In a sign that all is not horrible, the comedian shared a tweet that had been sent amid the maelstrom that read: ‘Ellen and George Bush together makes me have faith in America again.’

Let’s all live life like that tweeter, eh?

Piers Morgan ruthlessly mocks Greta Thunberg as he slams Extinction Rebellion protestors spotted at McDonald’s

Piers Morgan has taken aim at Greta Thunberg again, this time mocking the climate change activist while slamming the Extinction Rebellion protestors for eating McDonald’s.

The Good Morning Britain host embarked on yet another rant on Tuesday morning after spotting a photo of three protestors ordering food at McDonald’s.

‘I’m glad it rained yesterday because those lot need a damn good shower. Honestly, the hypocrisy that comes from these people,’ Piers began.

‘They went to McDonald’s to eat mass produced meat out of cardboard boxes. Maybe they’re not having a veggie burger, maybe they’re shameless hypocrites going to the epicentre of fast food.

‘How does McDonald’s sit with their eco-warrior – I mean seriously, how does it sit with it?’ he wondered.

After being challenged by Susanna, Piers claimed he’s ‘doing a lot’ for climate change but his co-host celebrated Greta and the protestors for raising awareness about the issue.

That prompted Piers to launch into a ruthless impersonation of Greta, crying out: ‘How dare you? You stole my airtime.’

Oh, Piers.

Continuing his rant, Piers said of the protestors: ‘They went down and defaced the famous horse with their stupid signs and stuff. We all want to save the planet. I’m not lying down on the floor, defacing the white horse, paralysing traffic in London for two weeks and genuinely behaving like a total imbecile. That’s not how you affect change.

‘They hate them for the destruction they’re causing, they hate them for the smell.’

He added: ‘They’re making it personal to us, they’re saying we’re gas-guzzling horrible people and there they are nipping off to McDonald’s. Shameless hypocrites.

‘They’ll probably be down at Glastonbury won’t they for three weeks. This is the latest jolly.

‘I’d be sick too if I hadn’t washed for two weeks.’

Vikings’ Alex Høgh Andersen celebrates season 6 release date with attempt at Russian dance

It’s been a long time coming but we’ve finally got a release date for Vikings season 6, and star Alex Hogh Andersen decided to celebrate the occasion by…Russian dancing?

Hey, each to their own!

The actor, who plays Ivar the Boneless in the series, posted the video on line to mark the trailer drop for the upcoming final series of the historical epic.

Alicia Agneson, who played his wife Freydis, joked underneath the clip: ‘Sums up the whole season!’

Seems that the star is a bit more light-hearted than the ruthless leader he plays (thank God!) – but Ivar is clearly going to be out for blood after the showdown that ended season five.

Last time we saw him, he went on the run from his own kingdom after the Siege of Kattegat led by his brother, Bjorn (Alexander Ludwig).

Betrayed by his wife Freydis, whom he promptly strangled to death, he was last seen on the back of a cart hiding his face with a mask to try and get to safety, abandoning his people.

As a result, Bjorn took over the throne with the approval of Ubbe (Jordan Patrick Smith) and Lagertha (Katheryn Winnick).

But surely a psychopath such as Ivar isn’t going to let that lie so easily?

There’s a lot to unpack in the new trailer, including how Bjorn is now ruling Kattegat with Ubbe as his right hand man.

And, as you can imagine, there’s going to be a lot of the bloodshed we’ve come to know and love from the show.

Vikings season 6 returns December 4 on History Channel in the UK.

Nick Jonas has announced he’s joining The Voice US following the departure of Adam Levine.

The 27-year-old singer revealed the news on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Monday (7 October), where he’ll join the show next year for The Voice season 18.

Meredith Ahr, president of the alternative and reality group at NBC Entertainment said: ‘As a member of one of the hottest pop groups, Nick’s success in navigating all aspects of the music industry is exceptional.

‘We were so impressed by his innate musicality, technical aptitude and passion that he brought to Songland earlier this year and know he will be an incredible fit as a coach on The Voice. We are excited to see Nick lend his mentorship, relatability and breadth of knowledge to a new crop of artists.’

On joining the show, Nick said: ‘I’m so excited to be a part of The Voice family. It’s such an awesome group of individuals, and I can’t wait to help these artists really build and hone in to find their unique voices.’

Nick is taking the spot left by Adam Levine’s exit earlier this year after sixteen seasons, with Gwen Stefani filling the void in season 17.

He’ll be joining John Legend, Kelly Clarkson, and Blake Shelton on The Voice US judging line-up, who all congratulated Nick in a special video on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

Nick has been particularly prolific on the acting front too, having a role in the Jumanji sequel released later this year and starring opposite Daisy Ridley and Tom Holland in Chaos Walking out next year.

Piers Morgan makes naughty joke about Spice Girls’ Geri Horner and Mel B romance as tour is ‘called off’

Piers Morgan turned the air blue on Good Morning Britain earlier with a very rude joke about Spice Girls stars Geri Horner and Mel B.

The 54-year-old host was discussing the reports that the Spice Girls have called off their Australian tour due to an alleged rift between Geri and Mel.

GMB’s entertainment correspondent Richard Arnold claimed on Tuesday’s episode: ‘They were going to go down under or at least Mel B spouted it out on-stage.’

Piers couldn’t help but make a quip about Geri and Mel’s romantic encounter, joking: ‘I think it may have been because they’d been down under that’s the problem.’

Richard chimed in: ‘I think it’s because of the feud that we ignited or on this very show or at least on your Life Stories.’

It was in reference to Mel B’s revelation on his Life Stories With Piers Morgan show, that she and Geri slept together in the ‘90s.

Although previous reports claimed there was initially tension between the popstars, they were the best of friends on the Spice Girls’ epic stadium tour this summer.

But that didn’t stop Piers from insisting all is not well between the singers.

‘I’m told it was a real problem,’ he alleged.

‘They got through it with gritted teeth but I’m told the simmering problem with Mel and Geri because of that revelation has been very difficult for the rest of the tour plans. And they had all these other plans which I’m told is not happening.’

He added: ‘Geri’s seething basically.’

A source told The Sun that Mel and Geri ‘clashed’ and were ‘arguing’ behind-the-scenes, so decided not to go out on the road again.

The Spice Girls’ stadium tour was a huge success with multiple sold-out shows around the UK, including an epic stint at London’s Wembley Arena.

Good Morning Britain airs weekdays at 6am on ITV.

Lindsay Lohan is being axed from The Masked Singer Australia after becoming ‘tricky with demands’, according to new reports.

The actress has been appearing on the loved show – where viewers have to guess which famous faces are showing off their singing talent behind elaborate costumes – for the past season.

Lindsay appears on the show alongside Dannii Minogue, Dave Hughes and Jackie O, competing against each other as they try and figure out who’s behind the masks thanks to subtle hints.

However, while the format has proven to be a hit with Australian audiences, unfortunately behind-the-scenes sources are reporting that they’re looking to let Lindsay go.

‘She was tricky with demands and had a complete lack of respect for time schedules,’ sources told New Idea.

Metro.co.uk has contacted Lindsay’s reps for comment.

While the report claims Lindsay’s on the out, it appears she’s made a tight bond with co-star Dannii, who revealed that they connected thanks to their history as child stars.

‘I said to her, “I want you to know that I read that you started when you were five and I started at seven. Not many other people will have done that or know what you’ve been through,” ‘ Dannii explained to Daily Telegraph.

‘I just wanted her to know, “Hey, I totally get it and I’m not going to judge what’s out there because I wouldn’t want people to do that to me either”.

Lindsay has since called Dannii her big sister as she adjusted to life in Australia filming the series.

The Masked Singer Australia airs on Network Ten in Australia and is yet to get a UK release date.

Richard Madeley admits twerking on The Circle was his ‘worst moment’ as he refuses Strictly spot

Don’t expect to catch Richard Madeley on Strictly Come Dancing next series as his awkward twerking on The Circle has left him too embarrassed to compete on the show.

The This Morning host entertained us all on the Channel 4 catfishing show when he donned a motion capture suit and showed off his best dance moves, including an epic twerk, a terrible robot and a bizarre dab, in a bid to win treats for his co-stars.

It was frankly too much for us to handle and Richard is adamant there won’t be a repeat performance or a stint on BBC One’s Strictly.

Speaking on Good Morning Britain, Richard said: ‘That was my worst moment because I obviously cannot dance which is why I would never do Strictly.’

Spoil sport.

He then jokingly took a jibe at the first celebrity to be booted off this year’s Strictly: ‘I’d be worse than James Cracknell.’

Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid tried to coax Richard into doing a quick twerk live on-air but he refused to play ball, stating: ‘I’m not standing up and twerking up my arse.’

That would’ve been a picture.

Reflecting on his stint on The Circle, Richard said: ‘It taught me that social media can be absolutely real.

‘It’s impossible if people play the game well, and I mean the game in the broader sense of social media, it’s impossible to tell who’s telling the truth.’

He also said of his friendship with Georgina: ‘I realised when I saw the photo of her in the swimsuit, it didn’t hit me at first and I asked her to see it again, and I thought, “Oh my God, she’s wearing a bowel bag”, and she’s doing it to make a statement to say look, it’s cool.

‘I was full of admiration for her and we got on right away.’

Britain’s Got More Talent is being cancelled after 12 years on the air – and fans are already petitioning to save it.

The ITV bosses have reportedly axed the ITV2 spin-off to Britain’s Got Talent to turn their focus onto social media videos instead.

BGMT has been hosted by Stephen Mulhern since it first launched in 2007, and sees unseen clips from the main series, as well as games with the judges and contestants.

‘Stephen is a much-loved member of the BGT family and everyone loved him on the show,’ a source told The Sun.

‘Behind the scenes, executives decided it was the right time to move on,’ they continued.

‘As our 18-34 audience share continues to grow and viewing habits are changing, naturally we are listening to our viewers and focusing more on digital platforms in support of the main show,’ a spokesperson for the show confirmed.

A #SaveBGMT hashtag has already been launched by fans of the series online in the wake of the news, with viewers furious that the much-loved series is coming to an end.

In fact, they’re even threatening to boycott the main show in protest.

‘Is this a joke? bgmt is hands down the most hilarious spin-off show and a big reason as to why I continue watching bgt in the first place. A very bad move :( #saveBGMT,’ one wrote.

While another was worried about their rapping fix and added: ‘Ok but like I can’t go without Stephens raps every year don’t let this happen #SaveBGMT

‘Stephen and the crew are brilliant. moving it online would be a huge mistake. it works too well as a TV format for it to even be considered to go online only,’ said a third, adding: ‘Simon cowell’s just worried as the main show is going downhill the same way as the x factor. #SaveBGMT

‘BGMT is one of the funniest shows on TV, it genuinely makes me laugh out loud. I often look forward to it more than the main show,’ another added.

‘Given its success, I can’t understand the decision to axe it. I am gutted #SaveBGMT

Danai Gurira has recalled what happened on her final days filming on The Walking Dead, and it sounds like a perfect send-off.

The show’s tenth season represents the last for Danai Gurira’s Michonne, who joined the show way back in 2012 in the third season.

Following the season 10 premiere, Danai has opened up about her final days on set in July, where Norman Reedus organised a special farewell involving fireworks and cake.

Speaking to ComicBook.com, Danai said: ‘It was actually the night before I was finishing. I was finishing on the fourth of July so I didn’t think anyone was going to be around. So they caught me the night before and I was totally off guard.

‘Everyone was gathered, there was this gorgeous cake that was Michonne with the sword and everything… Norman [Reedus] and, of course, Darrell Pritchett, the amazing man in charge of our special effects, they had this massive, really gorgeous, overwhelming fireworks display.’

The big question now is how Michonne’s exit will pan out on the show, and whether she could potentially return for the planned Rick Grimes movies.

Avi Nash, who plays Siddiq, recently teased what to expect to Metro.co.uk, saying: ‘I think the writers and Angela [Kang] particularly have done a really good job of crafting her exit in a way that pays tribute to her character and pays tribute to the legacy of her work.

‘Even though we knew it was coming and it was sad for it to happen, it’s been done in a really lovely way.’

The Walking Dead recently announced Maggie (Lauren Cohan) will return later in season 10, after disappearing from the show midway through the ninth season.

The Walking Dead season 10 continues on Sunday in the US, and on Monday in the UK on Fox.

Piers Morgan amazed by formerly obese man who lost 20 stone ‘after being fat-shamed’ by local takeaways

Piers Morgan was for once almost lost for words when a previously obese man revealed he lost 20 stone in a year after intentional fat-shaming.

Dibsy McCormack appeared on Good Morning Britain on Tuesday to reveal how he once weighed 40 stone but was able to shed the pounds with the help of a generous personal trainer – and his favourite local takeaways who banned him from eating in their restaurants.

Speaking to Piers, Susanna Reid and Charlotte Hawkins, who were all equally as stunned as each other, Dibsy’s personal trainer Mike said: ‘Each year I take one person for free to change their life. I’d never met him before and I’ll be honest, I’d never seen a human being walk in as big as I did that day.

‘It’s a difficult situation because Dibsy had heart condition.

‘His mum broke down in tears and said, “Please, I don’t want to bury my son”. I’ve got three kids, I know how that feels.’

Mike added poignantly: ‘It was life and death.’

When Piers, 54, accused Mike of fat-shaming Dibsy, the fitness worker defended himself and said: ‘I was bullied as a kid, I hate bullies and I think fat-shaming is a form of bullying.’

Dibsy later revealed how he consumed 11,000 calories a day eating fast food from his local takeaways.

But after a push from Mike, he agreed to allow the restaurants to put up posters stating they would refuse to serve him food, supporting his weight loss mission.

‘I’d get up in the morning and eat two or three sandwiches with a pint of milk or juice. Then an hour later I’d be having a sandwich again, then McDonald’s and other takeaways, just every two hours I’d eat the wrong things,’ Disby recalled.

Piers was almost speechless for once (Picture: Rex Features)

He also admitted: ‘It was the harsh reality of seeing a picture and realising what I put my mum through. I was selfish.’

With sheer determination, Dibsy was able to lose 20 stone and will undergo operations to tighten loose skin as a result of his weight loss.

Despite congratulating his guest on the incredible achievement, Piers still thought that Dibsy was being ‘fat-shamed’.

‘Whichever way you dress this up, that is a form of fat-shaming. You’re basically saying look at this fat guy, don’t serve him fat food,’ the TV host said.

Sir Patrick Stewart originally refused to return for Star Trek: Picard (but we’re so glad he changed his mind)

Star Trek Picard
Sir Patrick Stewart needed to be sold on the idea of bringing Picard back (Picture: CBS)

Sir Patrick Stewart admitted that he didn’t initially want to return to Jean-Luc Picard for the new Star Trek spin-off – but ultimately couldn’t resist.

The actor, who was last seen playing the iconic Next Generation Captain back in 2002, is returning to our screens with his own adventure at the beginning of next year.

But speaking at New York Comic-Con last weekend, where the team dropped the trailer for the upcoming season, he admitted that he was not sold on the idea completely.

Star Trek project boss Alex Kurtzman admitted he initially wanted a one-off appearance from the Captain, as part of the show’s Short Treks projects, which are small episodes created to slot in between seasons of Star Trek: Discovery.

But the actor refused the idea, causing the team to push him to try and convince him otherwise.

However, after showrunner Michael Chabon sent Sir Patrick a brief on what they were planning to do – and it grew from there to the series it became.

Speaking about his role in getting the legendary star on board, Michael said: ‘I’ve lived with these imaginary worlds since I was 10 years old.

‘From that moment until the day Akiva proposed this to me, I’ve never stopped living in these imaginary worlds.’

On what to expect for the character when he makes his return, writer, director and producer Akiva Goldsman revealed: ‘We wanted to let the ensuing years that have happened for us also have happened for Jean-Luc.

‘We spent a lot of time, collaboratively, filling in the intervening years,’ he said.

‘We know pretty much everything that happened in those 20 years. I include in “we” Patrick, who is the singular expert in Picard.’

Running for 10 episodes Picard will be the famous character on the cusp of retirement after Star Trek: Next Generation.

It will air in the US on CBS All Access, before becoming available internationally every Friday on Amazon Prime Video.

After his years as a star fleet captain, Picard has retired and has set up home in his vineyard, willing the days away in his new content life.

But he is soon joined by a mysterious young woman Dahj in the new chapter of his life, who he seeks to help after coming to believe is in imminent danger.

Star Trek: Picard launches 24th January 2020 on Amazon Prime Video.
